right? it was so ridiculous to hear them referring to this man as a woman throughout. Stalking is ABUSIVE MALE PATTERN BEHAVIOUR. 70% of stalkers are men. This is why this bullshit is so harmful, it stops us calling things what they are. And it has clearly insulated this man from the consequences of his abusive, dangerous behaviour. Male abusers can say they're women and suddenly their abuse is viewed as justified, its impact watered down in the eyes of society and law. It's so fucking insidious and corrosive.

Why don't you sue her? I'd donate to a legal action fund to do so.

Alice Dreger is great. As a Wellesley alum I am embarrassed by the attempt to deplatform her. A Wellesley education is supposed to foster critical thinking but this was not in evidence at the Alice Dreger protest. Her lecture is on YouTube and I recommend it especially for the Q and A at the end.

The idea is supposed to be that marginalized people cannot be oppressors. Not that they cannot be abusive or harassing.

Have any other listeners or individuals been harassed by her? This is abuse, and I don't want to over use that word, but really, this is what abuse is like. Trying to control your relationships with other people and with your work, stalking you, trying to take control away from you. Its worth thinking about collecting stories and making a case about this to stop her. Another reason I think its probably worth publicizing more widely, is I keep running into the idea that in absolutely all cases, marginalized people simply cannot be harassers or abusive, no matter what they do. I think we need to push back on that narrative, because clearly, there are some people that believe that if they are right, they can do anything to anyone.

I know you guys take the high ground, but you should seriously consider legal action, or a restraining order in this instance.

There have been a couple podcasts like this. I enjoy the bits of drama that I can get my head around. But overall it sounds like two extremy drunk friends trying to explain why they now hate a third friend. ("She called my cousin and said I was sleeping with her boyfriend because she found his shoes at my house. But they weren't his shoes they were my friend Rob's shoes who left him there because they got soaked when we got caught in the rain. They look like her boyfriends shoes though AND her boyfriend was also there that same night . In fact me and Rob got soaked when we were going to pick him up. But its not what she thinks because....). Or like one of Grandpa Simpson's stories that never go anywhere. This isn't a criticism, exactly. I just think I'm too dumb and too sane to understand what these crazy nutjobs are trying to do to poor Singal and Herzog and why.

Just checked her site, and my Brave browser told me that 6+ trackers and ads were blocked. I liked the caricatures. It looks like Jesse and Katie both mastered the downward smile that was big with models in the 80s and 90s.

I bought Alice Dreger's book in 2015 and it wasn't easy. I went to the Bookloft in Columbus, and couldn't find the book. I checked with the clerk, who checked the computer and she said they had 2 in stock. She took me to where they were supposed to be and they weren't there. She told me they'd have more in next week and do I want to reserve a copy. I stupidly said "no," and I would check back next week. Next week comes and almost the same thing happens, this time I reserved a copy. The clerk suspected that a customer was taking the books and hiding them among books in other sections.

What I find fascinating, which I've heard very few people bring up, is how many of these overly-aggressive trans activists tend to take on personality types and actions that resemble, to me, male-typical behavior. We know that testosterone increases aggressive behavior; is that part of what drives so many of these really nasty, aggressive, stalker-ish activist types? Because to me that reeks of toxic masculinity in the extreme.

The website is so poorly made I couldn't even figure out how to get to Jesse or Katie's page without just googling it. I think you'd have to already know they had pages to even get there.

I look forward to Jesse talking more on the influence of his Hindu father and as everyone here knows Jesse's brother is actually called 'Jesse's Hot Brother'. James is a sandwich short of a picnic as we say in Blighty but joking aside, you can't help but worry about such people. When I worked in motorsport our drivers (and sometimes crew members) would get stalkers and they are very unnerving. Whilst they may not be physically threatening (or at least you think not) they have that horror film quality of putting you on edge as you don't know when you will jump next.

IKR. Listen to yourself, Jesse. You should be as worried about this trans woman stalker as you would any male stalker. There's not a difference, and if you're projecting conclusions about her future behavior based on her gender identity instead of her sex, then you're putting yourself at real risk.
