Lesson Learned
Added 2021-11-21 18:44:09 +0000 UTCWell, I quit my job a week ago and all my time is free time again. In the scope of trying to fill out my life and stabilize, it was a mistake to take on that project.
I thought it would support my goals and it absolutely did not. Instead of getting over an initial hump, the problems got worse. Long story short: big gaming platform; massively under-scoped (3x) for time and budget; long meetings and design hell with no actual coding work; unpaid after working three months; finally got paid a week after quitting.
At least the pay for that short time is large and I did manage to get sculpting practice in quite a bit over these last few months. My ZBrush history has some of the quirkiest ideas but there are a few good ones. I just couldn't focus to produce a video because of the stressful situation expecting the impossible from me. Now that's behind me.
I'm very grateful to my patrons, some of whom are now friends, who have reached out and checked up on me during this time. Everyone is so kind. You're awesome!
I have a few things planned this week, including some work on my future web site, and doing more research on putting together a direct streaming server in case anyone wants to watch me sculpt and animate and see Maya crash. Expect to see some poll questions from me because I will be reaching out for some feedback. I just want to see what's both interesting to you and doable.

It seems like you went from a rough spot to... well, something better. I am glad to hear that. :) While I may be eager to see more from you, your focus on yourself first is the best thing you can do right now.

Sorry to hear about the rough project and all the troubles it gave you with that company but hopefully you learned some useful things out of it and got some good experience that helps you in your future endeavors. Will be fun to see what videos you do now that you have more time.
