August Update & Character Naming

Hi everyone! I hope your July went wonderfully, and August is shaping up to be even better. August is going to be a hectic month for me! 

As some of you may have noticed I have been trying to 'get out more' as they say, and meet with developers and attend gaming events. I've got a few such meetings booked at the start of this month as well as the release of at least two games due towards the latter half of the month (Graveyard Keeper & Two Point Hospital). So there's going to be plenty to keep me busy for the next few weeks, and a lot of cool things I will be able to share with you soon :D

Additionally I would like to discuss some changes to the way I rename characters in my games, specifically regarding the way I work with the name list of the super generous Patreons who support the channel at the Ferret Treats Tier. FTT for shot! xD

Currently, whenever I name a character in a game I create a namelist from all the comments on recent videos in that game series, and then add all the FTT patreons to that list before using a randomiser (Random.org) to select a name.

Moving forward I'm going to be switching things up a little in regards to the name lists. From now on, I will tend towards drawing names primarily from the list of FTT Patreons until that list is exhausted for that series, then begin drawing names from YouTube comments as usual.

This isn't a hard and fast rule, more of a general plan of action. I'll still sometimes decide to do things like request haiku submissions to decide who gets a name, or simply ask people to specifically request a certain character in the comments of that video, but in general if you're an FTT Patreon, then you can expect your names to start showing up a bit more frequently in my Let's Plays.
