Many albums came out on major labels in 92-95. Some still had hits even in 1995 - Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Dokken, Nelson and Firehouse all had hit songs in 1995

I think it would be cool, because VVI does lead to Slaughter. Also I do love VVI’s debut with Boyz Are Gonna Rock and Back on The Streets. That debut is glam metal at its’ most ridiculous!
