The Drakengard 3 Post (+ Sneak Peak)

Wow!

As I mentioned in the video, I finished Drakengard 3 and immediately knew I had to do a video on it. I was surprised how little YouTube content there was on the game. Most of it is either reviews from when the game came out or story analysis of how the Drakengard and NieR games connect. 

My original plan was to make it a shorter-type video like the Wuhu Island one to fill in the gap between Fire Emblem and the next video, but as I was writing it, it accidentally became the longest one yet. I think 20 minutes is a good length for these type of videos, but I do also like the Fire Emblem video's 12-minute length for something that's a more broad topic like "Coziness in games." A decent portion of the new video's length is taken by scenes of the game and a recap of the early story.

Drakengard 3 is an exceptionally interesting game, both in the general broad contribution to gaming as I discussed in the video and also its narrative which I wish I could have talked about more. I'm not sure if I'll even agree with this thought at all after a while, but I might say that Drakengard 3's story is even better than NieR Replicant. That is specifically the story itself, not including stuff like characters or themes or its execution. NieR goes far beyond Drakengard 3 in those aspects. 

Someday if I run out of ideas (unlikely!), I might talk about Drakengard 3's plot or get to Drakengard 1, but for now I'm done with Drakengard-specific content. As I've mentioned in a couple places, I am planning on doing a NieR: Replicant/Gestalt video. It should be at the end of this year when I do it, but it's also going to be a massive project because I'm going to make sure its the most high quality video aesthetically and in its content. I really just want to top the NieR: Automata video! It won't be easy--I had a lot more time to think about NieR: Automata. For now I'll give you a little sneak peak of the first draft thumbnail! This will very likely change or be scrapped entirely:

Final thought: Wow!!!! This video performed incredibly well in the algorithm and I couldn't be happier. I legitimately made this thinking it was only interesting to me and had a niche audience, so to say I'm surprised would be an understatement on par with "I kinda like NieR." 

The next video is most likely going to be about Xenoblade Chronicles to come after the release of Xenoblade 3. I hope you're looking forward to it! Thank you again for all the support! <3
