March 2023 Summary
Added 2023-04-01 04:48:37 +0000 UTCHi everyone! This is a summary post for March, and a little life update.
In March, on Patreon, I released the following:
Rift of Souls Episode 1 — Bugged (chapters 1-3): 7,600 words (editing increased the count)
($3+) Rift of Souls Episode 2 — Reconnected (chapters 4-6): 5,800 words
Total: 13,400 words.
This is a rate I'm pretty sure I'll be able to keep up through the whole year — it's much harder to get stuck now that I have ChatGPT to give me suggestions and I have the proper motivation (even smaller Patreon payments like this can pay for a grocery trip) — and though I haven't quite decided the rate I'll be releasing the chapters on Scribble, I know there will always be a backlog on Patreon so you'll always get the benefit of reading my stuff early. Later in the year as things get a bit less hectic for me I'm going to try to chip away at Extra Credit for an Eldritch Horror episode 4, too, so look forward to the continuation of that.
Life Update
For those who don't know, I actually moved from central United States to New Zealand back in January, to live with my girlfriend QuietValerie (Amelia) Our other girlfriends LuminaMystere and Trashlyn came from Australia, too — the whole polycule is together now!
Things have been good, and luckily I'd just been paid from my main job and my grandma gave me some money, which meant I had a lot of savings for getting a flat for the four of us and furnishing it, but those funds are nearly out now so we're trying to get our financial situation in order and actually afford to live. Amelia's Patreon income is just enough to cover rent, so we have to cover utilities, food, and other costs between the three of us. Ashlyn and Lumina don't currently have work, so Lumina's been getting back into writing too, with a story set in the Extra Credit for an Eldritch Horror extended universe, and Ashlyn's going to look for other work.
Meanwhile, I'm going to focus less on projects that are fun and relaxing and more on work projects that are guaranteed to give me money — that means, I need to do two episodes of my stories every month (ie like six chapters) I need to do my main job (that won't pay me until the end of the year, though) and I need to work on fluff4.me (which also has a Patreon that you can support — patrons have funded two months of working solely on it at this point, and I'll be starting on it full-time till launch in May, I believe.) That's the entire extent of my plan for this year, those three things.
I hope y'all are excited for this year. Big things are going to happen. I guarantee it!
Love y'all!
