Hmm, I think it's beacuse I sketch with the sai marker like I do with pencil and sometimes it just helps me see form and I can't really help it aha. Since I multiply the entire lineart layer over my colors it doesn't really hurt anything. Pieces I am re-lining over sketches tend to have no shading because I'm not sketching I'm just lining. Pieces that started off as a sketch and the sketch becomes the lineart, those have shading,
