This is unfortunately rife on Patreon. You and I pay to see unspoiled reactions but for some reason there's a contingent that needs to do it to show off or talk down to someone. Its a sticky trap for the creators too because they kind of have to interact more with Patreon subs thsn YT so they see it.

And I’m totally here for you doing that, because I know it helps you give the in depth reviews that I love from you. I think someone mentioned before already but like I am also chill to wait while you pause if you do need to write notes! Like thats apart of the whole reaction; I don’t need every second to be filled with something; honestly a lot of the time I have videos on in the background and I listen/watch as I do chores 😅 So like it’s almost like a bonus when the video is long cuz I get to “hang out” with you for longer haha. Anyway, your style is totally fine with me but yeah don’t feel bad either to pause the show so you can devote your attention to both things and not sacrifice one thing for the other, not that I think you do right now really. Anyway please don’t feel any kind of pressure to do one thing or the other! I love your videos whenever you react to something I love and that hasn’t changed. Your thoughts so far on HR are great and I can’t wait for you to watch more of it 👀❤️

If I didn’t, I wouldn’t even bother saying anything, I’d just unsubscribe. Even when I have a little thing to nitpick, I’m still watching your reactions in full, I’m still showing up for the next one, I’m still making other people watch them too 😂 You have a pretty unique style and those of us who came to Patreon really appreciate it. We’re all human, and I don’t think most people expect perfection from any reactor. Seriously. As a long time subscriber I can sometimes tell when you feel the pressure and I really don’t want to add to that at all. I just think you underestimate how good you are when you’re leaning on your notes a little less, but I appreciate that hearing criticism about it probably doesn’t help (I’m a Virgo, I’m working on it 😅). And for the record I really only noticed it becoming an issue a bit in Ep 2, Ep 1 was fantastic (and so was Ep 2! I just think your eyes missed things from writing). Don’t let us bring you down or doubt what you’re doing, people tell you you’re their favorite reactor for a reason 🩷

But I also think you should proceed in the way that feels most authentic to you and your style. Happy to watch no matter what!

2026-01-09 17:33:59 +0000 UTCThe reason you are one of my favorite reactors is how seriously you take everything you watch and how detail-oriented you are. I love the pausing and discussion! You definitely treat the shows you watch and their audiences with respect. I also really like your reads on characters. But for this show in particular I think I agree with others that exact dates and timeline stuff isn’t as important, just the general sense of a lot of time passing. That might make your reacting/note taking a bit easier! I have seen this show many many times (and read the book) and I still don’t have most of the timeline down in my head, and I don’t remember who wins what matches/awards really well either 😂. It’s definitely romance first, hockey second. I think the showrunner Jacob Tierney even said something to the extent of “It’s a love story where hockey is their workplace.” Not to say the competition aspect isn’t important (it’s pivotal, the rivalry is in the title haha) but it’s definitely more of a “vibe” thing in that regard than a “details” thing. **But also, watch and discuss how you want to watch and discuss, if those things resonate more strongly with you! I’m here to see what points you latch onto and what you find important or interesting, otherwise I’d just be rewatching the show again myself.** And btw can’t wait for the next episodes! Also I found your channel through IWTV so I can’t wait for season 3 of that to start picking up steam as well. 😁

There is less plot to figure out and more subtle changes in the characters and their interaction. Also the overall structure and pacing of the episodes is really important as you will see going forward. I think your insite into the characters has been on point for where you are in the story. As a fellow bi person, I am interested in your take on the differences in the experience of the bi vs gay characters as the story moves along.

Commenters - you don’t have to clarify things the show has only hinted at or hasn’t revealed at all! Please just wait for the show to develop the plot!
