To answer your question about production and time tables, AoT seasons would usually be divided into 2 parts for seasons over 20 episodes to allow “adequate” time to the animation studio. Some say the animators were still rushed & overworked. Season 1 part / Season 1 part 2 for example. The second part would usually get new opening and ending songs as well. The exceptions to this is season 2 ,as it’s the shortest AOT season with only 12 episodes, & The final season a.k.a. season 4. Which had 30 episodes & 4 parts (3 OPs & 4 EDs) due to the level of animation required to conclude the story.
