Pluribus - Ep.1X5 "Got Milk" UNCUT & UNCENSORED

Guys, I think we just need some space here...

In the meantime, Carol proceeds with her investigations and continues her journey of changing career paths from a "Romantasy Writer" to "Amateur Scientist".

Peace on Earth? I mean I wouldn't want a hivemind, but to claim that there is not a single pro for it is demonstrable untrue.

Emil Aderskog

I don’t see a single pro for the hive mind. Are you kidding me?

Agitprop

I’m 100% in carols team. In fact I think I’m living it right now. With a world so politically correct and so many unified minds I couldn’t feel more identified. Am I a Karen?

Plus, even if it is bodies or body parts, that doesn't mean they're directly related to the "milk" -- I suspect a red herring as well.

Melissa

You can just say yes or no: Is his theory related to the TZ episode that was part of the inspiration for this?

Melissa

I second this, Maggie. I also have found a lot of people out there in the social media world, etc., have really been IMO very critical of Carol. I totally relate to her, so I'm not sure what that says about me? 😂

Melissa

Just to clarify; this is not at all a criticism of your genuine reactions to Laxmi. I'm in total agreement that her behaviour and attitude towards Carol has been rude and frustrating. I reacted exactly the same. 🤣 That being said, I think I can kind of see where Laxmi is coming from. I think she's in a stage of deep denial where she's coping by continuing to treat her son as ... her son. On a deeper level, she knows something is deeply wrong, and is directing her anger towards Carol as a coping mechanism. I reckon the illusion will break eventually and ...we might get a team-up?

Maggie

I'm sorry my comment wasn't properly written last time. I agree with other viewers that the cliffhanger seems to be more of a red herring, at least for now. Last, this might not make complete sense at the moment, but I hope it doesn't turn out to be too much like "TZ." If it does, the most devoted fans of Vince Gilligan might already have an idea of where the plot is headed. I'm not one of those fans, but a friend who is has shared their theory with me - sadly -, and if they're correct, the truth is already out there! 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Love how they juxtaposed Carol’s care and respect for Helen’s remains vs what it’s implied she discovers at the end of the episode. I suspect it’s a red herring though, I can’t imagine the Hive would need or want to resort to cannibalism this quickly. We’ll see!

Agreed! I know plenty of people that don't trust kindness or despise conformity in any fashion. Personally, Life has taught me to appreciate the "good moments" but always to be on the look out for the catch, the manipulation, the con or for the shoe to drop.

... but she killed 11 mil with a temper tantrum. She really could take out huge percentages if she wanted to do so.

In season 2 they were loading the bodies in a milk truck. There's so much Twilght Zone vibes in this show. I think Lakshmi just enjoys having every member of her family doing exactly what she wants when she wants. Her grandfather was driving her around as opposed to her driving her grandfather. I think that's what's appealing to all the others, too. A controlling characteristic they all share. I think she'd have rejected Helen. They had sharp witted banter between them which I think makes Carol comfortable. To suddenly have her partner absolutely compliant to her every whim she'd have hated it. I just thought of another thing with Lakshmi. Maybe her son suffered some neurological disorder. Maybe he was non-verbal or not very responsive for some reason then suddenly she has a son who responds to her. She didn't seem concerned about her husband nor mother that much. She had him eating ice cream when she called Carol. Obviously he didn't ask for it nor were they eating ice-cream together. So she just gave it to him for her comfort after he cried.

MorningSong

I don't think the hivemind really cares about what Carol is scheming up to be honest (yet, at least). Imagine you had a single pet ant. Even if you somehow knew that it wanted to kill you, would you care? From a pure sense of scale it's easy to forget that the hive is 8 billion times "bigger" than Carol
