Dark - Ep.1X8 "As You Sow, So You Shall Reap" UNCUT & UNCENSORED

More time travel shenanigans? You betcha! Let's take things a step further though shall we?

Quickly, we find out that Winden's legacy has never truly evolved so much as it has, indeed, festered and rotted.... but perhaps there is still a chance to set things right?

Appreciate the linguistics tips! Certainly a LOT needed to process if one wants to pickup the language lol It does help to listen/watch German media like the show, as I then get to hear certain names and words spoken with the correct phonetics and can usually attempt to replicate the sound.

He was looking at the correct tree. It was the one for up to episode 7.

That family tree you used, it has faces on it that we don't meet until the end of ep 8, so if you use it in the future, maybe select the last episode you watched to avoid spoilers! You put so much effort in recapping and checking your learning so I don't want you to end up seeing someone new or a 'new' connection inadvertently 🙌 Great reaction, well thought out. Can't wait for the rest of this ridiculously twisty show :)

would you like some more german hacks? "z" is often more like "ts" . also, everytime there are two points above "a,u,o" -> "ä,ü,ö" (ae,ue,oe) the pronunciation changes. "ä" is more of a very sothern american "e". like head or red. "ö" sounds like "ur" (without pronouncing the r). like how you would pronounce "heard" or "bird" and "ü" ... is difficult to explain but try to say "food" while smiling haha. and you get similar sound. so try saying "zurück" like "tsu - (smiling) uck" haha. and then there is "a" where americans often pronounce as "ae" but germans do more like a "ao". and americans often role the "r" quite strongly while in german you rarely role the r. the most difficult is definitely "ch" bc it needs an entirely new muscle memory. i myself had a hard time learning it haha. many foreigners try to replace it with "sh" but you sound foreign then. it's more like a h sound "hue" like try saying "nicht"(not) like "neht"

Poor Helge. He was a bit of a weird kid but he probably would have turned out OK. When we see him as an adult in 1986 it seems like he has some developmental issues. I suspect getting his head bashed in by Ulrich (holy shit dude!) left him with more than just superficial scars.

Valaree

ok we are 8 episodes in and he still can't get the names right, this is gonna be insane lmao
