Self-Care Trait 🫧🛁v1.0 [Public October 8th]

I've wanted to release this mod over a year ago, but it's finally out yaaay!! This mod is for all my self-care people! Spa day is my favorite game pack. I love when my Sims do yoga or go to the spa venue, so I felt maybe a little self-care trait would be nice for us!

Self-Care Trait comes with 100 wants (I wonder if it's possible if a sim will be able to complete all the wants in a lifetime lol), 50+ buffs (includes a custom fulfillment buff), notifications, 4 computer interactions, 4 journal interactions, 6 social interactions (4 custom interactions for self-care trait sims, 1 custom interaction for non-self-care sim to a self-care sim and 1 EA interaction unlocked at Spa Venues)

V1.0 of the mod prioritizes self-care and self-love aspects.

PACKS THIS TRAIT NEEDS: Spa Day, Parenthood (journal interaction and volunteer want), Discover University / Business and Hobbies (skill class want), Seasons (set new years resolution/jump a puddle want), Growing Together (friendship bracelet and hiking want), Life and Death (complete bucket list goal), Vintage Glamor (makeup want), Get Famous (get your makeup/hair done want), City Living (blow bubbles want) and Snowy Escape (go to onsen lot and hiking want)

RECOMMENDED MODS: Cepzid "Everyday Clutter Items become functional", Let's Get Fit pack, Cepzid nail polish & perfume tray hairspray mod, Ellesimworld Lofi Station, Mizore Yukii broom mod + podcast mod. Thank you so much y'all for allowing me to include these interaction in certain wants!

How does the mod work?

Go to CAS, and under the lifestyle section, the self-care trait will be there, or go to the rewards store and purchase the reward for 9 satisfaction points!

Your Self-Care sim will then get wants surrounding their trait and the instruction is in the want itself. I will list the custom wants with this mod in its own post soon because it is too much to list here LMAO~

Some of the wants:

1. Drink Tea

2. Offer a Sim a Face Mask

3. Wants for the interactions I made (social and object)

4. Yoga

5. Makeup & Beauty (Includes Cepzid's mods)

6. Set a schedule

7. Workout / Go Hiking

8. Spa (nails, massage, candle, incense, face mask, meditate)

9. Declutter

10. Watch a show

11. Take a selfie

12. Listen to music and podcast (Includes Mizore Yukii podcast and Elle's Lofi mod)

13. Read a book

14. Volunteer / Donate

15. Practice deep breathing

16. Eat dessert

17. Apologize / Forgive yourself

18. Pay Bills/ Create Budget Plan

19. Buy yourself flowers

20. Moonbathe/ Sunbathe / Lounge

Some of the wants above will give you a special fulfillment buff about how they have poured into themselves. Next post you will see the rest of the wants!

Your Self-Care sim will have 4 interactions in the friendly category with its own pie menu
The four interactions are:

1. Talk About Your Love for Self-Care 

2. Talk About the Benefits of Self-Care

3. Talk About the Misconception of Self-Care

4. What’s Your Favorite Self-Care Activity?

The first three will have buffs for the main sim and the recipient. The last interaction will have a notification pop up with the self-care sim having a buff

There is a "Compliment Yoga Pants" interaction that is unlocked with a buff for ALL sims with any trait and the recipient will have a notification. This interaction is an EA interaction from Spa Day pack and now your sim can do this with anyone in the Spa Venue.

There's a special interaction that non-self-care sims can ask a sim with the self-care trait and it's "Why is Self-Care So Important to You?" (under the friendly category, small talk pie menu), the main sim will get a buff and the self-care sim will give your main sim a notification with a story response.

In the future, I plan to add special interactions between two self-care sims like talk about skincare or goals..etc. For now, the interactions will come off like a self-care sim talking to a non-self-care sim.

There are four journal interactions:

1. Write Affirmations

2. Write Gratitude

3. Address Your Limiting Fears

4. Read Affirmations and Gratitude

The journal interaction comes with a Self-Care pie menu. The last interaction will pop up only if you WRITE in your journal. Think of how relive memories interaction only shows up after your sim wrote in their journal. Each interaction comes many different buffs!

There are four computer interactions:
1. Write Affirmation (writing category)

2. How to Romanticize Your Life? (web category)

3. Create a Vision Board (web category)

4. Create a Budget Plan (web category)

Write Affirmation buffs are the same ones as the journal buffs. I just felt it was a nice add on to write it on your pc too. I've got mine on my phone, pc... everywhere tbh lol! Each interaction has buffs.

Please note that I have lowered the buff weight (got some feedback some time back and trying to incorporate it on future mods), so it won't be too strong especially negative buffs will usually have +1. I'm so happy this mod is out now after working on it since July! If you see any errors like an icon or something, please tell me. If a want isn't completing for you, try ui cheats mod to complete it by right clicking the want for now and contact me so I can look into it.
