I'm going to release this publicly pretty much immediately --- along with the nude version --- because I want to throw my support behind this! :]

If you aren't aware, recently both Steam and Itch were forced by their payment processors (i.e. Visa and Mastercard) to remove various games from their platforms that they deemed "not brand-friendly" --- primarily very spicy (but legal) adult games. Essentially, these companies have decided to dictate what you can and cannot buy with your own money.

Because Mastercard and Visa represent an effective duopoly on online payment processing, this move constitutes a practical "ban" on pornography; while Steam has only removed the spiciest titles they hosted, these payment processors have made it abundantly clear that they want to essentially strangle the industry to death. In fact, they've been doing this for years --- many NSFW artists have lost their ability to do commissions because of this!

The good news is that there is now a semi-coordinated effort by random people to call these companies' support and ethics hotlines in an effort to flood them and cost them money. And it appears to be working, because these companies have released (rather disingenuous and frustrating) statements in response! Clearly, there is more work to do... :|

You want to buy something with your own money. Someone wants to sell you that something in exchange for your money. That something is legal. Why in the hell should you have to run that purchase by a payment processor first?!

If you believe you should be able to spend your money on whatever the hell you want to without a payment processor getting in the way to (morally or otherwise) reject your purchase, please consider giving these companies a call and just wasting their time! Obviously, try to be kind to these call center employees, since they're not the ones responsible for all of this... But clogging up their support lines prevents them from servicing actual customer problems, and that can have a BIG effect!

A final note --- this might seem a little bit "hyperbolic" or that it might not effect you, but I'd like to point out that Itch revised its adult content policies in an attempt to placate these payment processors (though they apparently still haven't re-listed paid adult games yet as far as I'm aware). Under those new rules, presumably as dictated by these payment processors, Omorashi is banned...
