Our Not So Secret Original Project

Hey there, Patrons!

Today I'd like to briefly talk about something slightly different than Star Fox. When Estelle and I both went into working on Star Fox Event Horizon, we both had a contingent plan just in case the forces-that-be decided to clamp down on Star Fox. This plan was to replace the characters with slightly different ones to avoid any legal issues: in essence turn Star Fox into a brand new original IP. After working with Estelle for nearly two years, we eventually thought to ourselves that we should just go ahead and make our own brand new IP one day anyway. When Star Fox Event Horizon is complete we will be shifting gears to this project we have been slowly building up in the background for the last 10 months. Every now and again we'll let slip some new details, but for now check out this snazzy animation I've been working on for several months featuring the main character played by none other than Estelle herself!

To be honest, there's potential to be had, here. Sure, it may have the look of either mid-to late 1990s shows like Reboot or the direct-to video/DVD various films and pilots of the 2000s (and some films of the 2010s and 2020s from other countries), but... everyone who had a hand in creating this did the best they could with what they had to work with. For this, I can say it's not a bad thing and since nostalgia for the '90s seems to be in full swing, this may work to your advantage. Depending on the story you want to tell and how it's executed, you may have the makings of a fun ride. (No, I didn't just say that because the main character is riding what looks to be a hovercycle of some kind). Whenever more of this new story is to be shown, I look forward to what all you have in the future. Cheers to Mr. Lindsey, Ms. Ellis and the team behind it all. Though there's just a few more things that may be worth mentioning, however.

I can say for #1 this effect is very intentional, to make it look like something made in the 80's or 90's with scale props projected unto a background. A more famous example is the speeder bikes in Return of the Jedi.

Awesome! 1. The speeder and character look out of place in contrast to the scenery, like they both look like they're part of a different animation than this one, if this makes sense.. maybe the character's skin color stands out more? and the outline of the character is darker than the rest of the scene. The speeder also looks this way, including the blue fire from the exhaust. 2. This may be just my own take: the rayban style shades seem out of place to me, maybe a more futuristic style could work better.. maybe im just nitpicking it. 3. I thought the character's weapon would be more of a triton style weapon or mystical spear.. maybe that could be a weapon design idea?

Feel free to give any suggestions you'd like! We'll probably not show too much of this until there's more ready to show. We've pretty swamped with Star Fox at the moment.

Chasen Lindsey

It honestly looks like a good cool startup, gives me mixture of Star Wars/Avatar vibe.. What would be the story to it? I'd love to share critique and ideas for any improvement or request for suggestions. Also, I appreciate you giving us a heads up on your direction due to possible copyright issues with Starfax and whatnot. Please let us know what we can do to help!

Seniornewb

Seems pretty.

This looks siqq!! The soundtrack really pulls you in! I'm loving the crossover of fantasy and science fiction. I hope there's a callout for voice-over opportunities
