TUTORIAL - DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING THE BEST VERSION OF HS1 AND MAIN MODS

Hey guys.

I'm really happy to see that new friends have come to support me on this crazy journey. But I know many of you are here just for the HScards.

As I said here, despite distributing these cards to supporters, I give myself the right not to support them. I already explained why, but here goes:

IllusionSotft's games are known for having a "lazy" programming with each new game version, eternal problems remain constant. If it's not the modder community, the game wouldn't live up to the potential it has.

The problem is that the quantity and quality of mods vary a lot and to have a minimally ideal installation, you end up having to install a good hundred mods. And their installation order and how the system understands them almost always makes a lot of difference. so it's very common, even with the exact same mods, for a user to have problems opening a Char/Scene that another doesn't. This is not my fault, it's the game engine's fault. The most I can do is attach the list of mods for each char used and each of you fetches them manually through HSResolveMoreSlot ID.

That said, a lot of people come to ask me about where to download the game/mods. For those, I'll attach here the "official" and most up-to-date guide from the IllusionSoft Discord channel. (the most complete and active channel about Illusion games and the best source of information/mods)

Download the PDF and follow the instructions to the letter. This is your best chance to have the best version of the game, updated with the main plugins that the community (and I) use.
