People have argued that the show uses AI for backgrounds. I've seen some screenshots and can't decide, they ARE weirdly drawn but it just could be that people can't spend too much time drawing super-detailed background cities. However in this episode, some episodes, and the SAMENESS and low quality of some of the background characters give me pause.. 0:18 - 0:50 I initially wanted to make a joke how this show is taking place in the Star Wars universe since every JSDF member is a clone (~0:45), but then I remembered the AI allegations and rewound to recheck.
