August 2022 Monthly Movie Poll

Alright, so I'm just now returning to uploading videos again today, so we have a pair of movies to react to in July. Now that I'm back and confident I'll be posting at least somewhat regularly again, I'll mark down concrete dates for the (not actually) June and July movie reaction. Rise of the Guardians will be on July 7th and Wolfwalkers will be on July 21st. As for the August film, I am unsure on the specific date, but I'm confident it will not take as long as the June poll winner. Normal rules apply, poll ends at Midnight PST as July 31st turns to August 1st.

Also, if you couldn't tell by one of the choices down below, I'm getting a little thin on options for the polls, particularly as far as Western films are concerned, so I'd really appreciate some recommendations in the comments. I don't want any explanations of the films, just look at the comments of this poll and like the film someone said or say it if nobody says it and I might put it on the poll. Mainly looking for Western stuff to add to the polls, because I've seen so many Western animated films between my life off-camera and then filling the gaps with all the films I've already reacted to.

Comments

The Prince of Egypt! If you haven't seen Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, or Atlantis, those would be good for future polls. Also I know it's not western but Ghibli's The Tale of the Princess Kaguya is truly the best movie I've ever seen, and I think you'd like it too

maybe the lego movie?

If there's one Western animated movie I absolutely recommend that you probably haven't seen yet, it's Disney's "Treasure Planet".

Brave little toaster or the peanut movies are good

Kendra Maxey

Would need to know what you've seen already hah. Maybe Kung Fu Panda or Monster University? :)

Prince of Egypt is a phenomenal movie

SomewhatAnonymous

I know it's unlikely because it's very well regarded, but if you haven't seen "Megamind" yet... Also, to toss something in completely out of left field, "Asterix" is a french classic, but as far as I'm aware not as well known in the US. And there's like 10+ animated movies based on the comics.

It's great to see you back, Shark! I'm fully aware that most of these will never win, but I'll put them out there anyway. The only reason some of them have release dates is to not confuse them with other things. I know this is a long list so if anyone saw any of these they'll have to reply to this post with which one in order to gauge interest. The Adventures of Prince Achmed The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad Yellow Submarine A Boy Named Charlie Brown Fritz the Cat Fantastic Planet Wizards The Hobbit 1977 Lord of the Rings 1978 Son of the White Mare American Pop Heavy Metal The Plague Dogs The Last Unicorn Rock and Rule Fire and Ice When the Wind Blows The Painting Winnie the Pooh 2011 Ernest & Celestine The Congress Long Way North April and the Extraordinary World The Red Turtle The Girl Without Hands Window Horses Ethel & Ernest My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea Loving Vincent Ruben Brandt, Collector I Lost My Body Marona's Fantastic Tale Mad God The Summit of the Gods The Spine of Night Flee The House

Hope you start doing your anime series movie reactions soon tbh

Christopher Ross

There's like several sequels too and a TV Series apparently.

Haunt

The Land Before Time? The original one.

Haunt

Secret of Nimh and An American Tail aren't Disney. They are Don Bluth films. The same person that made Anastasia. Either way, not made in anyway by Disney, though they might be distributed by them nowadays.

Some western movies that might be interesting (if you haven't already seen them) Rango, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Isle of Dogs, or some older Disney like Secret of Nimh or An American Tail

Pacific Caleb

How To Train Your Dragon trilogy! I know you've apparently said you want to do them with the TV series but imo you should just do the movies first

Kayla Ryan

I also recommend 9 very interesting film

Pacific Caleb

I think the How to Train Your Dragon movies would be good. I would also recommend 9. It's a personal favorite of mine
