Some thoughts. 1. Like I said about the show since the poll: It's spectacle over substance. This was an amazingly drawn and animated episode, lots of wows and gasps, but overall, the action starts to overtake everything else. I think it gets even more lopsided later on. It's a modern Dragon Ball, minus the comedy, and instead of PvP it's PvE. 2. The whole "I see screens, and I get items instead of mana crystals, and this is a dungeon for me only, so this dungeon and enemies are different from the regular dungeons and monsters" could be interesting. I wonder if the author went anywhere with this or it's just a "this works differently so don't look for consistency" excuse. 3. Weapon durability is very much a feature still. It shifted from MMOs to Survival genre though (perhaps a couple more hardcore MMOs still have it, I assume P2W MMOs have it as well). MMO players hate it, like you said, but survival players like it. And survival genre was (is?) on the rise, while MMOs are declning. 4. The Golem boss the Hunters are fighting outside is the one in the Opening! The opening clearly shows a far flashier fight between it and Sung. All I can say is... interesting use of misdirection. Usually I like it, but this feels more like false advertisement than subverting expectations. 5. We're only in ep.4 and there're already so many flashbacks, all over the place. I counted (heh) 65s of flashback. I don't think they're necessary. They're just there to have something running while the MC is monologuing and not have to animate a difficult fight. 6. I also think that INT should be increased at least on a 1:1 scale with whatever main stat. Just for experimenting, at the start. However I think that i) The suspension of disbelief needed to accept that "I put a point in INT so I am smarter and I can do everything better" is greater (and more difficult to achieve) than "I put a point in STR so I can hit things harder" and ii) Since we've seen caster and healer Hunters, it's safe to assume that Sung thought INT increased the mana pool and the damage of his spells... which he doesn't have. So I'll excuse him for not putting any points there. I still would put 5-10 points in INT just to see what the mundane real-life effect is. I'll be posting this comment on YT as well, for whatever engagement boost, to promote the video in the algorithm.

Hmm.. might be a good idea to include your usual pixeldrain link in these posts, for people who can't dl or stream the episodes.
