AATS - THE SECOND EPISODE | OCTOBER PROGRESS

OCTOBER PROGRESS

I didn't end up hitting my goal of 100% for the animation in Scene 3, but I got pretty close to it so I'm content with moving onto the next scene and circling back to the animation with 3 later on.

That's 2 scenes down, 4 more to go! 🎉

Outside of the episode, I got to do some really cool things this month such as getting to do a meeting about Atlas and the Stars and Indie animation at the OSU animation club, and I'm able to finally announce that Atlas and the Stars will have a spotlight in this year's GlitchX! It was a fun little video to make so I'm super excited for all to see it!

I've also been applying to some conventions around the state for 2025 (So far, I've been accepted into Animate Columbus 2025, Wooo!!!) Hopefully I'll be hearing back about the others soon!

Lastly, I made some edits/reformatting to my website! It is still a work in progress because I have not optimized anything for mobile yet. But I'm liking the new direction!

NOVEMBER GOALS

Now that we're approaching the end of the year, I really want to lock down on this episode and get scenes 1, 2, and 3 fully complete and rendered by the end of the year. I plan on beginning rough animation for Scene 1 today, and I will be working on getting a bulk of its animation done during the month. With what little time I'll have left before the new year, I'll circle back to finishing the leftover animation for scenes 2 and 3. It's definitely possible, but I really have to focus if I want to achieve it. Progress has been slower than I would have liked this year, but I'm trying to learn not to beat myself up too bad over it, it's hard remembering that I'm really just one person sometimes. I'll get this episode done eventually! It's just going to take some time and that's okay. I know it'll be 100% worth the wait.

I mentioned releasing a clip/sneak peek for EP 2 by the end of this year a while back, I'm not entirely sure if that'll be happening soon. If I decide to upload an unpolished clip (lacking any audio editing or score) Then It'll be soon, but I'd honestly like to get something fully finished before I release any content from the episode. We'll see!

One last thing I have planned, I hope to remake the character renders for the AATS cast because they've been needing an update. That might happen either this month or December, all depends on my motivation!
