AATS - THE SECOND EPISODE | SEPTEMBER PROGRESS

SEPTEMBER PROGRESS

I managed to hit my goals for this month! I completed the rough animation for Scene 3 and hit the 30% mark for animation. Majority of these shots still need to be colored but that tends to be the easier process for me, I just wanted to make sure that I got enough keys and inbetweens complete. I will say, my progress was greatly hindered by my computer bluescreening almost daily (And I still have yet to find a solution despite even bringing it back into the place where it was built.) I've received well over 10+ bluescreens, and at this point I'm so frustrated I'm just making sure to save my work every minute and keep going forward to make progress. I've made sure to back up all of my files onto spare external drives just to be sure that I won't lose any major progress on the episode.

OCTOBER GOALS

My goal for this month is to fully complete scene 3's animation and if I have enough time left over, get the rough animation for Scene 1 fully complete.

Outside of the episode I hope to also finish a side project I've been working on which is a lofi girl parody featuring Atlas. I hope to post the animation to my channel sometime in October. This video will feature all the songs from the first episode along with a few lofi remixes of some of the songs. (Atlas' theme, Atmosphere's theme, A chat with Cosmo and possibly Bring me Home) I don't have much progress to show off visually, but I have a very rough thumbnail mockup and the beginning rough animation sketch at the end of this post. (The animation is still very rough and will have more idles/loops)

2024 GOALS

Now that we're in the final stretch, I've narrowed down my final goals for this year regarding the episode's animation. I plan to 100% Scenes 1, 2 and 3 (animation and compositing) by the end of the year, that way the only scenes I'll have left to focus on are Scenes 4 ,5, and 6 during 2025. I'd also like to get the rough animation done for the remaining scenes before the year ends but that's more of a stretch goal. I'll see how things work out! I'm really hoping for an early spring release, but it looks like it might be a summer release at the latest.
