I figured it would be a little challenging filming while traveling, so I filmed some reactions in advance. Seeing my old room in the background of my videos is really comforting. That was my home for 13 years. The funny thing is, I don't really think of it as home. I still think of my childhood house as my home.
I arrived at my aunt and uncle's house and it feels like a little haven. Their kitchen smells of homemade breakfast quiche and fresh sourdough bread. I'm eating like a king!

Dumbo Live Action: Since I saw the original animated film, I really wanted to check out the live action version. I'm sure it's an unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoyed how they changed up the story.
John Carter: This film has been recommended for a while now and I had no idea it's based on a book! That's going on my reading list.

My grandparents have been gone now 9 and 3 years and their house was demolished over 15 years ago, but I still remember how that house smelled. If you do read the John Carter books, remember they were written over 110 years ago, so things might stand out in weird ways. The author had some controversial ideas to say the least. The same author, Edgar Rice Burroughs, also created Tarzan. Fun fact, Tarzana is named after the character because Burroughs' ranch was in the center of what would become the town!
