(Full Reaction) Loki S2 E6

WOW, this finale did not hold back!

That was the greatest ending I could have possibly imagined. I was so moved by this show. The line Loki says, right before that epic thing he does, was so full circle!!!! When we were first introduced to Loki in phase 1, he was trying to take people's free will away and rule over them. Now, he's fighting so hard to give us all free will!🥹

Did Loki just become my favorite character in the MCU!?!!?!

I’m sure someone else already noticed how Loki mirrored his brother when Thor held that machine on Nidevalier (or whatever) to take the force of a star to make Stormbreaker. Great watch Jax. Thanks for letting us join you.🙏🏾 Glad you enjoyed it so much.

This episode is why this series is so highly regarded. This is Loki taking on the mantle of "God of Stories," which... just feels so right for our Loki here. One of my favorite details about this finale is that Loki's final line was one that Tom Hiddleston came up with as he was taking a jog around the back lot ahead of filming the scene. He came back and shared it with the director, and they absolutely agreed. It is a callback to the end of Thor... "I could have done it, Father. I could have done it! For you. For all of us," which now becomes "I know what I want. I know what kind of god I need to be - for you, for all of us." Tom REALLY understood his character, and it shows in every moment. We've seen him grow and learn so much over this series, and he has become the one who understands the responsibility that he carries. One that... no one else can carry. He Who Remains... used that responsibility tyrannically, taking away people's freedom and choice. From calling freedom the "first and most oppressive lie ever uttered," saying that "For nearly every living thing, choice breeds shame and uncertainty and regret." Now... he values choice and freedom so much that he is willing to take the responsibility of giving that to the multiverse onto himself. Yes, the ending is sad in its own way, but it is a bittersweet triumph. Loki is stuck there, yes. But he has the ability to know that the people he cares about are alive and well... living without fear of being annihilated for making the wrong decision. That duty, that sacrifice, that growth and maturity... those are the reasons that this series and the finale in particular have elevated Loki to being... not my favorite *hero* from the MCU, but my favorite character. And... I don't think that he will ever be unseated from that position. He will be my favorite. For all time. Always.
