Added 2025-06-17 06:03:11 +0000 UTCWhat a feel good, heartwarming movie filled with delightful 80s nostalgia. This really felt like a modern day fairytale! The Goonies are a group of friends that go on an adventure and face dangerous obstacles in order to find a pirate's lost treasure.
There are so many big actors in this movie. It was really cool to see so many familiar faces. There's something incredibly comforting about this film. I wanted to watch it again the moment it ended.
Also, there were so many memorable lines. My favorite is, "It's our time!"

I had a blast revisiting this movie. I watched it countless times with my family growing up but I was way overdue for a rewatch. I never realized how many legends collaborated on it. The story is by Spielberg. Chris Columbus (Home Alone 1&2, Mrs. Doubtfire, Harry Potter 1&2) wrote the screenplay. And Richard Donner (Superman (1978), Lethal Weapon, Scrooged) directed. They say too many cooks spoil the broth, but I guess The Goonies is the exception that proves the rule!

2025-06-18 02:41:22 +0000 UTCHey Jax.. so the scene where they finally find the ship.. the kids didnt see it until the day they filmed it.. thats why their reaction is genuine.. cause they never saw it until then. And I love the Superman T Shirt Sloth was wearing cause as you know Richard Donner who directed this directed the first Superman movie. One last thing.. when Data mentioned the octopus to the reporter.. he actually wasnt making that up.. there was a deleted scene where they encountered an octopus in the water by the pirate ship.
