That is very true. I like Anissa's character and hope that she may actually side with Mark in the end. For some reason, I cannot get Angstrom's name right. I think I should just call him Levy!

With Anissa we see that at least some of them prefer reason over violence and genuinely believe that them taking over all these planets is for their own good (the good old argument of us slowly destroying our planet due to our greed is becoming harder to refute every day, hell two hundred years feels optimistic) . I guess, like with humans, it varies from individual to individual. Nolan clearly only thought of his assignment as a responsibility he had to fulfill. Another thing that varies is their strength, with factors like age, experience, skill and raw physical power all being potential reasons for why Mark struggles so much against both Viltrumite and non-Viltrumite opponents. Also, as the previous two episodes showed with the Lizard League, the Viltrumites and the upcoming fight against them is clearly not the only threat out there. While that's clearly the endgame at this point in the story, not every storyline has to or will be connected to them. After all, while they are clearly the overarching threat, Earth has plenty of others to choose from and while Mark, as the protagonist, is in less danger than other characters, this show has repeatedly illustrated that no one is safe, if Mark's name-defying beatings are anything to go by. Not to mention the personal stakes, which sometimes have more consequence than a character dying. I personally found the Amber/Mark stuff far more impact-full than Kate's death, since we hardly knew her. P. S.: It's Angstrom not Armstrong lol (though that's a great name too).
