2025-01-22 03:03:30 +0000 UTCThe comic X-Men #134, mentioned in this episode, is titled "Heroes and Hellfire," featuring the Hellfire Club and Jean becoming the Dark Phoenix. A massive foreshadowing of what's to come in the Stranger Things series, as the Duffer Brothers (creators of Stranger Things) drew heavily from '80s X-Men comics, along with other media from that era. Both Jean Grey and Eleven share similar abilities and struggles, and the Dungeons & Dragons group in Stranger Things Season 4 is called The Hellfire Club, no doubt inspired by their favorite comics, featuring the Hellfire Club from X-Men. Something you'll only notice when re-watching the series.
