What a compliment!! Thank you! Also, now I need to know how to turn this into a joke... What do you call a disabled fish? Handicarped! Or how about, What do you call a fish with no eyes? Fsh!

Jacqueline

His slow walk is so ominous!

So excited for you to finally get to this one! It's an amazing show! And yes, we were all VERY confused with what was going on when it first came out.

Michael Morris

That subtle foley of Ethan Hawke's character walking with glass in his shoes the entire time is so disturbing. 😂

Onno Smits

Oh yeah, don't worry. Only brought up Egyptian mythology aspect since Jax released Episode 2 at the same time, which introduced Khonshu.

LittleGalaxyBoy

YES!!!!

At this point in the series, is it good to start explaining what's going on? I know you're being helpful, and I appreciate you. But that last paragraph is more than the show has told viewers at this point, and it's a show explicitly about mystery and questioning reality.

Robin Wise

Comics lore is always appreciated, but please be careful about spoilers.

Robin Wise

Allow her to at least watch the show before you guys explain everything. That would be more advantageous after the the show concludes.

Too much information I

What do you do with a disabled fish? That is soooo the punchline of a joke.. BTW the CDC has to issue a notice about you, your laughter is contagious.

Hi, Jax. I’m so glad you’re finally checking this out as this is one of my favorite MCU shows of all time. I’ll be sharing important facts about it as we go along. I’ll start out by saying that I’m glad you’re familiar with Oscar Isaac. You may also remember him in his role as Apocalypse in the X-Men film series. Looking back, Iscar said he enjoyed working on this show a whole lot more. In fact, this is the project he's most proud of so far. Oscar doesn't just portray Marc and Steven, but he's also an executive producer. When he heard the story would begin in London, he decided to put on two different accents so viewers would be able to tell them apart. He would go as far as staying in character with the British accent off-camera so he would be ready to portray Steven. To close out this comment, I wanna mention something that’ll help you understand a bit of what's going on without giving too much away. Marc and Steven suffer from dissociative identity disorder or DID for short. The reason I bring this up is because I've seen comments that have given it a different name it used to be known by which in the present has been deemed both inaccurate and disrespectful.

Moon Knight first appeared in Werewolf by Night #32 (August 1975). He was initially created to hunt the werewolf, so the character was designed around that concept, using silver weapons and a nocturnal theme since werewolves only come out at night. His name, Moon Knight, comes from this connection to the moonlit hours, as werewolves are tied to the night. In Moon Knight #1 (November 1980) Moon Knight’s backstory expanded to include ties to Egyptian mythology, particularly his connection to the moon god Khonshu, which is the version we see in the show and has been the main portrayal for decades now. I think my introduction to Moon Knight was through Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (2006), a top-down action RPG where you could play as a variety of Marvel characters. Moon Knight was a pretty niche character who didn’t appear much outside of the comics. His first animated appearance was in 2016 in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, though he was mentioned in Iron Man: Armored Adventures (2009), just never actually seen. It's surprising Moon Knight never showed up in any of the '90s Marvel animated shows. Blade, Punisher, and Doctor Strange to name a few all had appearances in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and Ghost Rider even popped up in Fantastic Four. Spider-Man: The Animated Series would've been the perfect place for Moon Knight to make a cameo. He would've been a hit with '90s animation kids for sure, big missed opportunity. Thankfully, Moon Knight (2022) introduced the character to so many people for the first time. 😊
