Added 2024-09-16 22:20:07 +0000 UTCWelcome to another Movie Monday! The first Shrek was so funny and this sequel did not disappoint! Filled with edgy comedy and pop culture references, Shrek 2 is just as lovable as the first movie.
Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon to find that her parents have invited the newlyweds to visit them in their kingdom. Unfortunately, Fiona's parents were not aware that their new son-in-law was an ogre. This was not the plan the king had for his daughter.
All of our favorite fairy tale friends come back in this movie and we get to meet new characters along the way! The post credit scene may have been my favorite part of this film!!

The voices of the King and Queen are voiced by the great John Cheese and even greater Julie Andrews. The whole Knights scene( which is a take on Cops) is absolutely hilarious. I was in high school band when this movie came out and we played the title song, โAccidentally in Loveโ

2024-10-15 16:06:22 +0000 UTCHi Jax, apologies for being a little late to the party. There is a third and a fourth Shrek. The fourth one has gotten some heat over the years but I think all four movies are fun. Now that Puss has been introduced you can watch the first Puss n Boots movie anytime. However, I would recommend you finish the main Shrek line before watching the second Puss (which, by the way, I think is one of the best animated movies of the past few years).

2024-10-15 00:14:22 +0000 UTCI saw this is theaters and the reveal of Puss licking himself got one of the biggest laughs I've heard in a theater. That has stuck with me for a long long time. Also, they did some great Zorro references with Puss since Antonio Banderas portrayed Zorro in The Mask of Zorro, which you should totally see! Awesome movie!

2024-09-17 02:13:45 +0000 UTCPuss bursting out of Shrek shirt is indeed from Alien. The Knights chasing a white bronco is from the police chasing OJ Simpson in a white Ford Bronco. Joan Rivers is voicing herself in the movie. Fiona kissing Shrek upside down, is from one spider-man movie.
