In this episode, Aang is eager to take Sokka and Katara to the Air Temple where he was raised, but it seems that the temple is not at all how Aang remembers it.
This is the first time we really see that the show isn't holding back when it comes to heavier subjects. It really seems like Aang is starting to grow up a little bit. What a powerful ending!

You are on point, that is exactly how I describe this show to people who haven't seen it. A complex adult show that also happens to be animated and is kid-friendly. Also I forgot the Zhao/Zuko Agni Kai happens this soon.
