Avengers: Age of Ultron (Full Reaction)

Here's another reaction from The Vault! I'm so excited to share this with you. In this film, Tony's biggest fear is unlocked by a powerful woman named Wanda. This sets the Avengers on a new path, as Tony tries to create a peacekeeping program that ends up being deadly and destructive.

FYI - I press play right after I say, "Let's get started!"

Avengers: Age of Ultron (Full Reaction)

Comments

Thor was worried because Steve actually did move Mjolnir a little bit. But you know that now.

Good reaction! Wanda , she's not nice here. Especially in the first half of the movie. Vision it's good.

It’s so bizarre, Dearest Jax, to go back and watch this with you. It’s stunning how much more you know about the MCU now than you did when you watched this. Calling his computer assist ‘Friday’ is a reference to ‘Robinson Crusoe.’ The castaway mariner had a native helper that he called ‘Friday.’

Lamar Smith

Many marvel superheroes have catch phrase like "Hulk Smash" for Hulk, "Clobbering Time" for the Thing of Fantastic Four, for the Avengers it's "Avengers Assemble!" which is what Captain America last words was teasing of the movie. After Vision is created and the avengers are getting ready, Tony take a memory card "Friday" to load in his armor, other cards are "Jocasta" which a female robot in the comics but also Tadashi from Big Hero 6. Pietro "Quicksilver" was a problem because he also was used in X-Men movies which may be part of why he dies in the movies, he had to be there because he's Wanda's brother and having someone dies show how dangerous the fight was.

Fun is something one considers when Jax uploads full old reactions, and this does put a smile on my face

Fun fact, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas Character) created Ultron in the comics. Ultron then became sentient and rebelled. A bunch of stuff surrounding Ultron happens throughout the decades of comic history until we get to Age of Ultron #1 (March, 2013) a storyline what was only two years old by the time of the film of the same name. in this storyline Hank revealed that he was visited in the past by a Wolverine of a divergent timeline of Earth-616 (Mainline Universe) where Ultron successfully returned annihilated humanity with a massive attack on New York City (New York can't catch a break) and the rest of the world. The Wolverine of this timeline travelled back in time to kill Hank Pym only to create an even worse divergent timeline. Bunch of stuff happens and Wolverine travels back to the moment he kills Hank and stops himself from doing so. Pym was allowed to live, but he was tasked to create a hidden fail-safe program to destroy Ultron when needed. Then during the present of the Age of Ultron storyline a strange object crashed on Earth revealed to be Ultron (Pretty much what happened in the other timeline) but this time Hank had the fail-safe program allowing him to shut down Ultron once and for all before Earth-616 could end up like the divergent timeline showcased above. So this was all just one big time travel storyline with multiple alternate realities being born from Wolverine's original action. Fox owned the movie rights to X-Men during this time so among other reasons the movie version of Age of Ultron has nothing in common with the comics beyond it's name.

Oh hell yeah! Such a criminally underrated Avengers movie.
