What an incredible movie from start to finish! I had forgotten how good this movie was. The performances were phenomenal and this film was so immersive. Even though I enjoyed Batman Begins, I thought this movie was so much better. Do you have a favorite movie out of The Dark Knight Trilogy?
*Since I've seen this movie before, this reaction does contain spoilers.*

Thank you so much!

I haven't seen either of those films! I'd definitely be interested in adding them to the polls.

Jax will you have any interest in adding Joker (2019) and/or The Batman (2022) as potential reacts in polls? Or have you seen either of those already?

I'm not sure any amount of therapy exists that can deal with the level of trauma that Gotham's citizens go through. 👀

I'm pretty sure they're going to need a therapist after seeing the therapist then lol...or a funeral. 👀

Another fun video!!!
Overall, I didn’t care for Nolan’s Batman trilogy. This installment is my favorite, but it is all about Heath Ledger’s performance for me.
Heath was brilliant and absolutely deserved his posthumous best supporting actor Oscar.
It does suck that he was up against RDJ that year, because RDJ also gave an Oscar worthy performance in Tropic Thunder.
That being said, Heath isn’t my favorite Joker.
Heath is for sure in the top 3, but Mark Hamil takes the top spot in my Joker rankings.
Mark’s Joker is a voice over role in animation & video games.
He first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series that ran from 1992-1995, and it is widely considered to be one of, if not the best cartoons ever made. It is certainly the best superhero/comic book cartoon.
(X-Men: The Animated Series 1992-1996, is a very close 2nd)
Mark Hamil has also portrayed the Joker longer and more times than any other actor.
I believe he finally retired for good last year after Kevin Conroy passed away.
Kevin Conroy voiced Batman/Bruce Wayne alongside Mark in the animated series and in numerous other animated shows, movies, and video games over the last 30 years.
Mark said in an interview that he would never provide the voice for the Joker again unless it was opposite Kevin’s Batman.
“…Without Batman, crime has no punchline…”
Also, to answer your question, the Joker is only loyal to himself and his ongoing quest to make Batman laugh, or kill him, or both 🤡
However, in the animated series that I mentioned above, we do get introduced to a lover/side kick/personal punching bag for the Joker, one of my all time favorite characters, Harley Quinn.
Harley was supposed to only have an appearance in a single episode of the animated series.
The late great Arleen Sorkin did such an amazing job of bringing Harley to life that she became an instant fan favorite and became a regular guest character on the series.
Eventually she was brought into the comics, video games, live action television shows and of course some of the movies.
She is a fun character and has become almost as iconic as the Clown Prince of Crime himself!
If you ever get the chance to watch Batman: The Animated Series, I would recommend watching both of the Tim Burton Batman movies first.
Batman(1989) and Batman Returns (1992) helped serve as inspiration for the aesthetic of the animated series.

1st point, Jax does that one thing she does often. "That ferry experiment... is..." And we'll leave it at that.
2nd point. Was excited to see the Lamby joke and it did not disappoint. So glad to see Lamby jokes back in the mix.

Harvey Dent has half his face burnt off. Jax: How did you not recognize the Joker right away? lol
When you said that everyone in Gotham might need a therapist, the first thing I thought of was that the Scarecrow might be available.

Dearest Jax, I watched this and you’d put the question out as to who was the favorite ‘Joker’/character/villain. I think you’d find it interesting. No plot spoilers but he discusses Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger and more…..

Very nice. Looking forward to the Dark Knight Rises. Dont let anyone poopoo that movie, it's a fantastic Batman movie and stands shoulder to shoulder with the first two.
