Lineal 4 - Update 2!

Good evening gang!

It has been a busy fucking week! First and foremost: Lineal 4 is making slow but steady progress. We're picking up almost immediately where we left off and diving straight into Fedor's lineal reign.

So far, I've gotten about 17 minutes of dialogue recorded and around 7 minutes of footage completed. Which I guess isn't bad considering I think all I had was the intro when we last spoke! Speaking of the intro I also had to spend some time doing a copyright friendly version of the trailer I posted a couple of weeks ago. It's hard to find good music that is also copyright free but occasionally you come across some gems, such as this track which popped up in my recommendations on YouTube 15 god damn years since i'd commented on it:

It doesn't have the manic energy of the Patreon version that uses KMFDM's 116 beats per minute 'Drug against war' but its a fucking great track and with some small edits it fits really well. I also knew the album it came from was in a copyright hell limbo [edit: how can something be in both hell and limbo at the same time, dummy] and would in all likelihood have no one trying to claim it and I was right! The Patreon version is the "true" version as the graphics and editing was designed around the KMFDM track, but YouTube version still came out of this pretty well if i do say so myself.

So a couple of things in the works, as part of Lineal 4 research, I'm in the middle of getting an interview with Scott Coker lined up! He's agreed to do the interview and we just need to arrange a time. I had read so many theories online that Fedor losing to Werdum was what sank Strikeforce, so I wanted ot get the story of Fedor v Werdum straight from someone who'd know better than any random internet commentator. So if that works out well it'll be a pretty cool addition to Lineal 4!

Secondly, and this is non-lineal related, but this week I took a trip to Belfast to have a meeting with a Production company there to discuss turning one of my videos into a full fledged documentary for streaming! The meeting went really well and looks like they may be interested in taking it forward, and while that is super exciting it is also something I heard literally this time last year when I was pitching a History of MMA series around the place too and that's still in limbo over a year later. So not getting my hopes up at all at the moment, but I'll tell you what, going from making shitpost YouTube videos that no one watched, to sitting next to someone who worked on Game of Thrones as we pitched an idea for a documentary with me as the fucking showrunner, was so god damn surreal that more than once I completely tuned out to what was happening because it genuinely felt like some kind of fucking fever dream. Bu yeah it's the longest of long shots anyway, and Lineal 4 is still my main focus right now so don't worry about that.

Anyway, as always, its almost 2am so I guess I should sleep at some point. But not before saying, Fuck Bryce Mengele. God damn it was so satisfying to watch Jean Silva choke that fucking piece of shit unconscious. All my homies hate Bryce. UFC 314 was definitely the best card the UFC has put out so far this year because for once, literally everyone who I wanted to win, won.
