Post lineal Debrief & 2024 end of year teaser!

Good evening Just Bleed Enthusiasts!

So as is ordained, it's now time for the post video release breakdown and a teaser of whats coming next.

Lineal 3 has been up a little over a week now, about 9 days, and is just a few hundred views off 100K. While that is honestly about what i expected, its still a bit sad to compare it to the Lesnar video which broke 100K in one day. But, this is to be expected as its a pretty niche topic and has nowhere near the mass appeal of Brock.

It's like I said at the end of the video itself, the lineal ones don't do big numbers, it's not a sexy or current topic, but it is something people who are interested in the sport, and not just the drama surrounding the sport, can get into. So as long as people still enjoy them, I'll keep making them.

And again, I just have to say thank you to you guys, as obviously with a smaller reach for these videos, it means they make far less revenue, yet still take just as much time as any other video. There was a pretty big influx of new patrons for this one, and I'm glad all of you got to experience the Cro Cop segment complete with Art Garfunkels "Bright Eyes", as it was intended, and all 40 seconds of Bob Sapps chaotic fighting debut!

Though, having said all that, and having spent basically this entire year making 3 Lineal videos, and one Lesnar video, I am committing before you, on this day of our lord the 27th of October 2024, that part 4, will be the FINAL PART* of the Lineal saga. If it takes me 3 months and is 4 fucking hours long, I don't care, I'm wrapping this story up in the next installment!!

I'm mostly happy with how the video turned out, though some people did say it was hard to follow, and I'm not gonna argue with that opinion. It was something I struggled with more than in part 1 and 2, this one seemed to jump forward and backwards a bit more than the others. But there isn't any way to tell this story without time jumps, so while I do listen to those complaints with an understanding ear, I also reserve the right to say fuck off let's see you do any better 😂

But seriously I do get it, and I had to rewrite the entire Fedor segment and basically cut and paste it into an earlier part of the video in order to try and smooth out the timelines a bit more, as it just didn't make sense to only introduce him 3/4s of the way in, when I had already talked about him multiple times earlier in the video. But anyway, yeah, fuck it, whats done is done. I think the Bob Sapp/Cro Cop/Noguiera v Fedor segments were easily my own favourite bits, and again, shoutout to LCQP for elevating a load of scenes with incredible music and putting up with me texting shit like "hey that track is awesome but can you imagine how more awesome it would be if some drums came in here and went like DUN DUN DUN". I salute you buddy.

But, lineal 3 is done now, and it's time to look to the future. And the future is festive.

So yeah if you watched the trailer video above, you know I cant resist a good Christmas/End of year round up. I've gotten an intro created, and currently in the process of scouring MMA news sites for anything pertinent/ridiculous from 2024. I'm actually thinking of opening up some voting for the blowie award to Patrons this year too, so watch this space for your chance to make history this year! If you consider dick kick of the year to be historically important.

Looking far, far ahead to 2025, I am considering, tentatively, always tentatively, of setting aside the lineal series for the start of the year, and tackling something I've been toying with for a while: a proper, in depth, deep dive into COUNT FUCKING DANTE AND THE HISTORY OF THE BLACK DRAGON FIGHTING SOCIETY. This is something I've really want to do for a long time, but I do worry about how it would go as the lack of footage of Dante means it could essentially turn into a podcast, and I dunno how i feel about that. But, i've been trawling through old issues of Black Belt magazine (lol) and the interviews with thie man are solid gold, so there's definitely a story to tell there. Right now, that's what I'm thinking of next anyway, so I guess we'll see if I'm still feeling it come January 1st!

So can anyone hook me up with some good antidepressants after UFC 308? I tried alcohol and it isn't working.
