Lineal update #1

Good evening gang!!

Welcome to the inaugural update for the next video! I know it's been a bit quiet here lately, I'm still kinda bleary-eyed from the Christmas break, and the last few weekends have been pretty busy too, so I haven't had a huge amount of time for my usual Sunday night updates, but with a bit of luck I'll get back on a weekly update basis from now on.

The video is coming along slowly buy surely, it's strange but after the break and taking a few weeks off from writing, I have really had to re-adjust to writing again and try and blow the damn cobwebs out. There's been a few evenings in the last week where I sat down to write or edit and found myself legitimately staring at the screen, completely spaced out an hour or more later with no work to show for it. 

But, the wheels are turning now, and the first 10 minutes or so of the video is done. Its mostly just a prologue that is only vaguely related to the subject, followed by an explanation of the concept of a lineal title. It's also probably the most video game based prologue I've written since the Metal Gear Solid intro to the Frank Dux video. I didn't intend it this way, I just thought a good way to explain a lineal champion would be if one of the characters from Tekken took his King of Iron Fist title and left for the Street fighter universe, kinda like how I explained the concept of Judo influencing BJJ using Street Fighter 2 in the Pride videos. Anyway it's dumb as fuck and long winded and I'm sure some whiny babies on Youtube will comment on it like "uhhh ACKSHULLY he starts talking about fighting at 9:10" but fuck those people, I know you guys never really seem to care, so that's what motivates me, your lack of giving a fuck about my rambling 😂 

In other news, I've commissioned this guy Magnozz (@magnozz_art) to make a new T-shirt design! Here's an early sketch concept:

Magnozz also does an MMA based webcomic,  The Tomato Can  which is how i first heard about them as they put Justin Bleedington into one of their strips as an easter egg: 

I thought that was so fucking cool that when it came time to come up with a new design i reached out to them.

Aside from that, its business as usual in the blownapart world. I watched the main event from UFC 297 this morning, still haven't watched the rest of the card though as it looked about as appealing as a Schaub comedy workshop. I scored it 2, 3 and 4 for Dricus, so the result was fine by me, and also its no secret I'm not a Strickland fan so I was happy to see Dricus get the W.
