Xmas Update #1!

Good evening Gang!

Welcome to the inaugural update for the end of year video! Kinda hard to believe were only like 7 weeks away from 2024, but I have a bit of a mental roadmap for the end of year video now, and hope to have it out by around mid December.  I just finished writing January and Februarys round ups today, tho I'll probably have to pare back on some of the less important news stories as i go on, as January was almost 16 minutes long by itself. Mostly thanks to the news of Dana Whites Cabo nightclub episode of Power Slap breaking on January 2nd, but yeah, if every month required that much footage this would end up being the longest video I've ever made!

But its progressing well, and the above screenshot is from the intro, which cost me 2 full days of work alone just for this stupid fucking 40 second intro of flying newspaper pages. I kept getting editor errors when working on it, which was what made it take so long, and which made me more determined to get the fucking thing working whereas most rational people would scrap it and move on.

Part of the End of year video will also be the 2nd annual Blowie Awards, I've already had a few ideas for categories such as the Just Bleed award for bloodiest fight, The Mazagatti award for worst refereeing, etc etc.. .so if you guys think of any fun categories, or fights you think should be nominated for KOTY, FOTY, or the just bleed award, let me know!

The supercut of TUF is coming along well, I'm actually considering now writing an entirely new ending for Episode 1, to take into account the fact that Stephan Bonnar died shortly after it came out. It feels a bit weird recording the dialogue and referring to him in the present tense. And if I'm re-recording the whole thing anyway, I may as well write a new ending to give him a proper send off. Im also kinda debating when to release the remaster. I was initially gonna upload it as soon as its ready, but coming up to Christmas, I know a lot of people are at home over the holiday and could probably use a 4 hour long video to get away from their families.

Speaking of the TUF remaster, I just got the first bit of artwork back from one of the artists I commissioned to re-create the drunk episode segment and holy shit did this guy understand the assignment:

Next weekend, I should hopefully get to filming my promo for the Rashguards too. I didn't want to just do a typical sponsored segment like "here go buy this stuff" so I'm actually making a proper, stupid as fuck, harebrained idea advert for it. I had an idea to make like a 1980s toy commercial for them, and I just hope i have the ability to pull it off and make it as fucking stupid in reality as it is in my head.
