Project Kamp Week ahead #152

Hey Friends,

This week, we’re excited to share an important milestone for Kamp. We have successfully extended our water distribution system to the Middle Land and the Office. Although we’ve been working in and using these areas beyond Base Kamp for some time, having the pipes laid underground feels like a more solid and settled step. 💧

And this week has been very, very hot. 🌡️🥵

However, our garden still showcases some cool colors.

On the project side, the landscaping team has been busy freeing a tall cork tree from surrounding mimosas. While you see more oaks in the area, there were indeed many mimosas around.

Miguel is putting the finishing touches on the top room of the Granite ruin (or house?). He conducted some tests with paint and colors, and what you see is made entirely from different types of clay. It’s quite impressive how many variations can be achieved. 🎨

This week, an accident occurred with the brick ruin. While the digger was removing some roots, the brick ruin was further demolished. Fortunately, this isn’t expected to dramatically affect the project, as these walls were not intended to be structural anymore. However, Oguzhan might include this "event memory" in the design. 🧱🚜

We don’t have the exact moment of the incident on video, which is unfortunate from the videomaker's perspective. But Joni got creative and made a recreation using AI, which is quite impressive—if you can overlook Anselmo's alter ego... 🙈

This year, we have a returning guest from last season: the green algae has returned to the lagoon. As harmless yet unsightly as it was last time, it has arrived earlier this year.

Despite this, we still have many tiny fish and bugs living in the lagoon, and we’re unsure if the algae will pose any problems for them. For now, everything seems fine, and swimming is still enjoyable. Let’s see how it evolves in the coming weeks. 🔎
