This is a little idea I came up with some time ago, and I have written  three chapters for it. I would be really glad if you could give me some  feedback on it.

Chapter: 1

Congratulations to the host for becoming the shopkeeper of THE SHOP! For further understanding of what THE SHOP is and how it works, please read the following instructions carefully!

THE SHOP is a conceptual place that exists beyond space and time that holds everything and anything in existence. As the shopkeeper, the host is connected to this conceptual place through a link which allows the host to interact with THE SHOP and “buy” things from it.

As the shopkeeper, the host has been given the following privileges: 90% discount on all purchases, can borrow items from THE SHOP, and ability to gain fate points from the customers rather than grinding for it himself!

Note1: Fate Points are the currency used to purchase goods from THE SHOP. Each person has a different amount of Fate Points, either gifted by the world or gained throughout their lives.

Note2: In case if other people lack Fate Points, there is an exchange system which can be used to buy Fate Points from THE SHOP; THE SHOP buys everything, but the exchange rate would be half of the original price of the sold item.

Note3: The shopkeeper can hire people to work in the branch SHOP he creates, and each person would be given pre-set privileges: 50% discount on all items, able to interact with THE SHOP with the host’s permission (Note: Employees cannot buy anything from THE SHOP on their own but if the host gives the permission for it).

Note4: THE SHOP will automatically modify based on the world the shopkeeper is and all the items would be relevant in that world.

A load of memories appeared within Jiang Chen’s mind as he found himself standing in an endless field of snow.

Clenching his head, he muttered: “I cannot believe this… I really was transmigrated!”

Just a second ago, he was given a server that asked him if he wanted to be transmigrated into another world or not. Thinking it was just a joke served by some otaku, Jiang Chen didn’t put much attention to it and clicked yes.

The next thing he knew, he was not in his room any longer!

“The serve… It was not a joke.”

Hurriedly clearing his mind, Jiang Chen examined his surroundings. Just then he realized that he was in an endless expanse of snow wearing nothing but night pajamas!

The moment he realized it, the cold hit his body causing him to shrink involuntarily. If he didn’t find a shelter or anything to balance the temperature instantly, he would die.

DING! It is found out that the shopkeeper’s temperature is dropping at an abnormal rate. This will result in the shopkeeper’s death. If the shopkeeper desires, THE SHOP can recommend a solution for it.

Name: Hourai Elixir

Description: Drinkers gain the inability to die, allowing their bodies to receive an indefinite amount of punishment. No matter whether they are beheaded, incinerated or have taken any other form of damage, they will always revive without exception. They will recover within a few hours if they take a non-fatal blow. Due to the nature of the Hourai Elixir drinkers are also incapable of contracting any form of disease or illness. This includes the natural process of aging, they need no sustenance such as food, water, air, warmth or sleep to stay alive. Every injury shall cease; critical injuries will be healed in a matter of days. Complete destruction results in immediate and complete restoration. The Hourai Elixir is permanent, their immortality is irreversible and cannot be copied or interfered with, they will always be restored to pinnacle condition!

“Hourai Elixir? The immortality portion from the Touhou Project?” Jiang Chen had a smile on his face. Surely, THE SHOP didn’t disappoint him.

The first item of recommendation alone was so powerful! He could only imagine what else he could get from it.

Without thinking much, he clicked on buy and a new notification popped in front of him.

DING! THE SHOP thanks the shopkeeper for the purchase. The item has been stored within THE SHOP inventory. The shopkeeper can get it whenever he desires.

Jiang Chen hurriedly took the small bottle out of the inventory and gave it a curious look. The elixir didn’t look divine nor did it release any outstanding aura; it looked as normal as a bottle of water.

This made Jiang Chen’s lips curl up slightly and he muttered: “For a divine elixir, it sure does look normal.”

Giving it another glance, Jiang Chen opened the tip and threw the content directly into his mouth, gulping it down right away!

“Now what?” Done drinking, he waited for something to happen, but nothing really happened. Only, he realized that the cold he was feeling a second ago had completely vanished as if it didn’t exist.

This meant that the elixir was working perfectly and he was no longer a human!

Thinking this, he hurriedly called out his status to take a look, and surely, it changed!

His physique, which was normal before, had now changed into True Immortal. Other than that, there was not much change in his status; even his strength was the same.

That was because Hourai Elixir didn’t affect his strength or bodily structure, it just gave him the concept of immortality and pulled him outside of the affected reality, allowing him to exist as a separate existence that cannot be killed or die.

“Since that’s the case, I should also buy some offensive abilities. I still don’t know what world I am in, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared.”

Even though nothing could hurt him any longer, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t feel pain. He could also be sealed easily with his normal human strength.

Jiang Chen thought it was better to have safe proof in the form of some offensive ability. So even if he isn’t strong, he wouldn’t be some fish on a board waiting to be chopped into pieces.

“I always thought Ope Ope No Mi was a fun ability to have, now I can personally use it.”

Jiang Chen smiled and brought the skill orb and the weirdly looking fruit out of the inventory. Looking at the fruit, he remembered that it was said in many sources that the fruit tasted horrendous.

This made him curious. He wondered how bad it was, so without wasting another second, he took a bite out of the fruit.

It was soft and easy to bite. The moment it appeared within his mouth, it melted right away, leaving behind a disgusting aftertaste.

“Ugh… It really does taste shit.”

Thankfully, one didn’t need to fully digest the whole fruit to gain the ability. As long as he had bitten even a small part of it, he would gain the fruit’s ability.

Since such was the case, Jiang Chen threw the fruit back into the inventory. He raised his hand and pointed his hand downwards before muttering: “Ro~om!”

Jiang Chen suddenly felt a pull onto his stamina and found it decreasing rapidly. Below his hand, a small azure sphere appeared which suddenly expanded around him!

Seeing this, Jiang Chen smiled excitedly: “I can spawn this ability infinitely due to the perk of infinite stamina given by Hourai Elixir!”

Jiang Chen looked at the two trees in the distance. He pointed his finger at them before rotating them.

“Shambles!”

In front of his interested gaze, the two threes instantly swapped their positions! Seeing this, Jiang Chen smiled.

“Matching with sword mastery, I should not have much problem dealing with other people now.”

Of course, this was based on the fact that he wasn’t in some high-level world where people could fart a universe out of existence.

If that was the case, then he was weak as a chicken even now.

“Shop, recommended an item to make up for energy deficiency.”

However, the biggest advantage of the Sacred Spring Physique is a boundless stamina; a cultivator with this Physique might not be the most powerful on a battlefield, but it would be the most resilient.

“So expensive!” Jiang Chen cried out. “Grand Completion is even more expensive than Hourai Elixir!”

But after thinking for a while, Jiang Chen thought it made sense. THE SHOP categorized items based on their versatility.

While Hourai Elixir indeed provided its host with True Immortality, it could not be compared with the versatility of the Immortal Physique which provided him with infinite energy.

“With my current wealth, I can only buy till Half Completion. But that’s not a problem, in the future, with my 90% discount, I will be able to buy it easily!”

Every item he sells, he gets a part of FP from it. This way, the more customers he has, the more FP he will get.

Thinking this, Jiang Chen had a happy smile on his face as he bought Half Completion Physique.

Jiang Chen didn’t think much and pressed yes. Suddenly, his body shined and in the next second he felt a huge amount of energy filling it.

He felt as if he could run for eternity and never get tired ever!

“What an overwhelming feeling… but with this, I can use Ope Ope No Mi for a long time.”

Feeling that this should be enough for now, since he wanted to make sure to check what world it was before spending more points, Jiang Chen finally decided to fully examine his surroundings.

But, once again, all he could see was snow and snow alone.

As he was thinking if he should walk in a random direction, a notification suddenly popped in front of him.

Mission: First Customer

Details: As the shopkeeper of THE SHOP, it doesn’t suit you to not have any customer at all. Now that you have solidified your foundation, it is time to look for a customer to serve!

Rewards: Set of Profound Veins with all elemental affinity!

“Profound veins?” He ignored everything and focused on the reward section. His eyes widened and he exclaimed in surprise. “So it’s THAT world! Out of all the world, I was sent to a world where everything is controlled by a dead goddess!”

He thought his luck was not that great after all. The only grateful thing was that with his cheats, he wasn’t afraid of anyone.

“Not to forget all the women… Ahem, I should choose a random direction. Since everything is white and I cannot see anything, there is no point in standing here and wasting time.”

With that, Jiang Chen chose a random direction and started to walk towards it. Maybe it was luck or fate, after walking for some time, a huge structure made up of icy crystals appeared in front of his eyes.

Chapter: 2

The outer walls were gigantic, beautifully reflecting the sunlight falling upon them. They shone with azure brilliance showing their smooth crystal surface.

The walls were made up of an icy-crystals, probably the result of the usage of ice profound arts.

In front, there was an equally huge gate with a distinct runic pattern on it.

Jiang Chen had to narrow his gaze to see at the top where he saw the silhouette of two women—gatekeepers, he presumed.

“Halt! This is the territory of Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace! Uninvited guests are not welcomed!” The beautiful yet cold voice came from above, from one of the gatekeepers standing above the crystal walls.

The moment the title Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace was mentioned, Jiang Chen’s expression changed.

‘One of the four major sects? So I am in the Blue Pole Star? That’s good. The last thing I would want is to awaken in God Realm from the get go…’

The piece of news made him relax his expression a lot. He could still fight against the people of this small realm but the same could not be said for the people of God Realm. Though he cannot die, the people from the God Realm have much more resources to seal him and torture him for centuries.

‘I'd rather spend time solidifying my foundation…’

Question now was, what should he do? With the mission ringing within his head, Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace didn’t look bad of a choice to make a deal.

‘And let’s not forget the main heroines…’

He rather spent his life surrounded by women than to be a shopkeeper whose sole purpose is to sell items. What’s the point of getting a chance to live in another world then?

‘But I doubt they would listen to me if I said I’m here to sell items…’

Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace didn’t deal with men, a very well established fact that even a child living within Blue Wind Empire knew.

They definitely had their own traders and merchants, but they were definitely women. Hence, if Jiang Chen tried to sell his items here, the chances of him getting declined were great.

This made him pinch his chin and fell in deep thoughts. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and they shone with brilliance. Obviously, he had come up with a plane.

‘The best way is to get their attention, and for that…’

Jiang Chen raised his hand, palm pointing downwards, and softly muttered: “Room!”

An azure sphere formed below his palm before, like an unstoppable force, it expanded; miles after miles, the sphere didn’t stop until the whole of Frozen Palace was covered within it.

The invisible nature of his powers made it so no one could feel or see anything unusual.

“Scan.” A radar-like wave was released, with him as the center, it scanned everything within the sphere of the room and sent the information back to him.

He had read the story of Against the Gods, but had no idea of what the people looked like. He had only read the description of them but not how they may look like in real life.

Now the world of Against the Gods has become reality, a reality in which he lives. As such, even if he knows the “characters”, he doesn't know what they look like.

In the end, he could only guess.

‘The person sitting on the throne… I can only guess that she is the Asgard Mistress.’

The thought fell, he raised his hand and rotated his fingers.

“Shambles!”

Wind blew, and the place where Jiang Chen stood suddenly became empty. The female disciple who stood above the walls had her eyes widened at the unexplainable phenomenon in front of her eyes.

Jiang Chen had no profound strength, so it made sense he looked mortal in these disciples' eyes. The fact that seemingly looking mortal vanished from her eyes meant to shock her.

But since there was no trouble, she decided to ignore it and return to her duty.

…

In a blink, everything around Jiang Chen changed. The look of translucent walls changed into a chamber made up of the same shimmering, icy crystals which reflected everything to perfection.

The inside was cold and chilly, making one feel cold to the bones.

At the far end of the room, sitting atop a towering, crystalline throne, was a regal figure clad in a gown of ice-blue silk which did nothing in hiding her well-endowed juicy figure. Her long, azure hair cascades down her back like frozen waterfalls, and her piercing crimson eyes that widened at the sudden intrusion of him.

“Wha—who are you?” The figure sitting atop the crystalline throne sounded astonished and cautious. Shocked, she stood up from her throne and looked down at Jiang Chen. “How did you get here?”

Looking at the beautiful and enchanting figure of the woman in front of him, Jiang Chen’s eyes could not help but narrow in pure appreciation.

He had long heard that everyone within the asgard were beauties beyond mortal words and now seeing her, he realized that such description was not far from truth.

The woman in front of him had a perfect hourglass figure, big breasts and hips. Pristine face and perfect curves and contours.

‘Coming here was really the best decision. Not only can I sell stuff but I can also have such eye candies…’

“Gong Yuxian, I presume? I am Jiang Chen, a wandering merchant.” Jiang Chen bowed, not too deep or shallow, enough to show normal courtesy. “Today, I had the honor to pass by your sect and decided to do some small trades. I hope you do not mind.”

“Merchant?” Gong Yuxian’s eyes narrowed. “You still haven’t answered my question. How did you appear here without me or anyone noticing?”

“... It is just a simple trick of mine.” He raised his hand in front of his face and rotated it. “Shambles.”

“Just like this, I can teleport wherever I desire.”

Gong Yuxian looked as if she was struck by lightning. She stared at Jiang Chen, who now sat on her throne while she stood at the place where he stood before, her mind and heart was in chaos.

Unconsciously, she swallowed her saliva knowing the person in front of her was anything but a normal human which he looked like a second before.

She took a deep breath and calmed down.

The control of space was only reserved to those from the Sovereign Profound Realm. But even they could not teleport other people so bizarrely. The conclusion she came up with was enough to scare her silly.

“Well, what do you say? Any plans for trading with me?”

“... It would be my asgard’s honor, his excellence.”

In this world, the highest authority was given to those that held the highest power. In the same way, the highest form of respect and reverence was also given to those that had highest strength.

Jiang Chen who could teleport her on his wimp, how could he be a weak person himself? Gong Yuxian found it normal for her to take the stance of a junior in front of him.

‘As I have thought… cultivation world’s are the easiest to live in… as long as you are strong enough.’

With a smile on his face, he took out a white paper from within THE SHOP’s inventory and teleported it in front of the surprised Gong Yuxian and ordered: “Drop a drop of your blood on the paper. I am a special merchant and I hardly deal with money. The currency I use is something called Fate Points, in simple terms, you would be selling your luck in exchange for my items.”

The term itself was quite ambiguous. Even though it said fate points, it had nothing to do with a person’s fate. It didn’t matter if the person had it in low amounts or in high amounts, the end result would still be the same.

Jiang Chen found it hard to explain to other people what fate points were, so he came up with a crude explanation for it; it was luck.

It was common knowledge, in the world of cultivation, that one luck would be consumed with every action. Those born with high luck value could reach heights beyond normal people because they had more luck to spend and gain fortunate encounters compared to other people with low luck value.

By calling fate points luck, Jiang Chen basically made it easy for the people from the cultivation world to understand.

Gong Yuxian’s face changed and a sharp look appeared. The fact Jiang Chen could tell other people’s luck was another thing which solidified the image of him as a strong senior within her mind.

Raising her jade-like slim hand, Gong Yuxian bit her finger and dropped a drop of her blood on the paper.

The blood touched the paper and water-like ripples were produced, which soon vanished and a set of words were introduced.

Gong Yuxian raised her brow and a curious look appeared over her face. She stared at the paper in her hand and huge ripples were produced within her heart.

“What a magical method!” she exclaimed but then her brows frowned in slight displeasure. She raised her head, her crimson gaze looked at Jiang Chen sitting on the throne and asked. “Why does it say my Frozen Cloud Arts are faulty?”

Jiang Chen raised his hand and the paper appeared over it. He stared at the result and replied nonchalantly.

“Because they are. The cultivation technique that you practice is faulty and incomplete. Due to this, ice profound energy gathers within the profound entrances of the people who use it, causing pain at night and death sooner than other people. Don’t tell me you didn’t know this?”

Gong Yuxian was above hundred years old and was the Palace Mistress. Jiang Chen highly doubted that she didn’t know this, and seeing Gong Yuxian’s expression, he knew he was not wrong.

“With your FP, you should be able to choose a lot of things… Do you want me to recommend it or will you choose it yourself?”

Gong Yuxian had a contemplating expression before she muttered: “Please guide me.”

Jiang Chen nodded and explained.

“The main problem with you currently is that due to the practice of Frozen Cloud Arts, your profound entrances have been congested with ice profound energy which blocks your path to advance further in profound strength. Not only that, that practice of Frozen Cloud Art itself hinders your path in future development.”

“Then what does his excellence suggest?”

“Your asgard should have another secret art, right?”

Gong Yuxian’s eyes widened in utter horror and shock. She couldn’t help but explain loudly: “How does His Excellence know about it!? Even the disciples of Asgard, except for Frozen Faires, don't know about it!”

“Many things are not hidden from me.” Jiang Chen chuckled. “But that is not the point right now. What I want you to know is the reason why no one has ever been able to practice Frozen End Divine Arts.”

A focused expression formed over Gong Yuxian’s face as she attentively listened to what Jiang Chen was saying.

“Frozen End Divine Arts actually has another name—Ice Phoenix God Investiture Canon! It is the Divine Art of Ice Phoenix! The only reason why no one from Asgard has ever been able to practice Frozen End Divine Arts is simple: no one within Asgard possesses the bloodline of the Divine Ice Phoenix! Only those with the bloodline of Ice Phoenix can practice this art, just like the founder of Asgard.”

Chapter: 3

Gong Yuxian’s face went through many different expressions before she sighed.

“As I have thought… The reason why only the founder was able to use it is because of the bloodline.”

Jiang Chen nodded.

“So here is my suggestion.” Gong Yuxian looked at him expectantly as Jiang Chen explained. “With your current FP, you can actually buy the Essence of Ice Phoenix!”

“Essence of Ice Phoenix?” Unaware of the term, Gong Yuxian looked for further clarification.

“Basically, the essence will allow you to become Divine Ice Phoenix itself! Your bloodline will change into pure Divine Ice Phoenix and you will become a Divine Beast!”

Gong Yuxian’s eyes widened.

“Impossible! How can such a thing be possible?”

“Something that is not possible for others doesn’t mean it is impossible for me.” Jiang Chen smiled arrogantly but then added. “But I want you to think carefully. The Essence of Ice Phoenix costs 10,000 FP while you can buy a drop of Ice Phoenix’s Bloodline for only 100 FP. That will also allow you to practice Frozen End Divine Arts, but your future achievement will not be as great as if you become Divine Beast itself!”

Gong Yuxian’s expression changed. She looked at Jiang Chen and asked with slight impatience, obviously excited.

“If I become Ice Phoenix… Can I give my blood to others like a divine beast and give them my bloodline?”

“You are smart.” Jiang Chen smiled. “Exactly. If you become a divine beast, it would not take long for everyone within the Asgard to possess the bloodline of Ice Phoenix! Though it will take some time, at most a year, but such a small time shouldn’t matter, right?”

“Also…” Jiang Chen had a hesitant expression but it soon turned to normal as he explained. “If one has Ice Phoenix Bloodline, they would not pass their arts to others through sex.”

Gong Yuxian’s eyes widened once more.

“Does that mean…”

“Yes.” Jiang Chen nodded. “Disciples from Asgard can have relationships with others.”

The reason why the asgard stopped its disciple from having relationships with others was not because they wanted their disciples to be pure but because they didn’t want the secret that they can pass their arts through sex to be known by the world.

If such a thing becomes public, the disciples of her Asgard will become prime targets for others. It didn’t matter if they were part of four major sects or not, human greed knew no bounds.

To protect their disciples, they had to hide such facts from becoming public and ban their disciples from having relationships with the opposite sex.

‘But this still isn’t a reason to lax the rules. The rules should not be changed, and should remain as they are.’

At this point, changing the rules would harm them more than good. Gong Yuxian thought it was better to let it remain the same rather than changing it.

“I still have 200 FP, can I buy anything else?”

Jiang Chen also caught her intention of changing the subject so he didn’t put much focus either.

“Having Ice Phoenix Essence would automatically unlock all your profound entrances and reform your body to be the perfect vessel for a divine beast, but it won’t have much effect on your strength. With your remaining FP, I would suggest you buy an Overlord Pellet. This would allow you to enter the Tyrant Profound Realm!”

“Tyrant Profound Realm!” Gong Yuxian felt she might have a heart attack.

Within the history of the Blue Wind Empire, there never has been a single Tyrant Profound Realm expert! This was the reason why it was the weakest empire with the Sky Profound Continent.

Gong Yuxian could not help but feel excited at the prospect of becoming a Tyrant Profound Realm participant!

“And it’s quite cheap, only 10FP.”

For some reason, pills were quite cheap within THE SHOP. Not that it mattered to Jiang Chen, he was simply a shopkeeper who would sell items.

“I would also suggest you to buy Profound Gathering Formation for 100FP and implant it beneath your Asgard. This would increase the concentration of Profound Energy by a hundred times!”

“I will buy it!” Gong Yuxian didn’t give it much thought and agreed.

Her heart was beating fast and her face was rosy with excitement. She could not wait to see all these items!

Gong Yuxian stared at Jiang Chen’s face and suddenly felt her heart beating fast. To think she would meet such a mystical man, this really excited her.

“Thank you for your patronage.”

The space in front of Gong Yuxian was twisted, like a vortex in the ocean, it rotated with intensity before three items appeared from within the twisted space; a bottle containing red blood, a bottle containing red pill, and a scroll.

“The bottle contains the Essence of Ice Phoenix and Overlord Pellet respectively. As for the scroll, it contains the Profound Gathering Formation. Drink the essence first and then the pellet.”

Gong Yuxian nodded. Her face was rosy due to her extreme heartbeat and her breathing slightly erect.

The prospect of becoming a divine entity and strongest being within the empire was enough to make her excited beyond words.

“Click…” With audible sound, the bottle was opened and Gong Yuxian gulped down the contents contained within.

The essence brought extreme warmth within her body resulting in her moaning softly, but the warmth abruptly turned into extreme cold making her hiss loudly. The change was so sudden to which she didn’t have time to even react.

Jiang Chen’s expression changed and he looked at the sky, his face turning slightly grave.

‘Oye… I wasn’t told that the world would have such an extreme reaction to the birth of another divine beast!’

Black clouds gathered in the sky and purple lightning flashed within them. Soon, the whole sky had taken a deep black color, fully engulfed in the shadows.
