Hi John, I wanted to tell you that I when I inquired about my plane seats on a JAL flight from Chicago to Tokyo this November, I got a notice about this incident, saying how this kind of thing will not be tolerated--and that they will make sure it does not happen again. I was able to have my assigned seat question answered and they also included this note in the airline email. This was yesterday that I got that notice and the seat inquiry answered. So I can see what you mean about the shame they feel about this. It's as if they are all taking the blame for this person's actions.
