Since folks in the site comments have referred to this horse as a palomino, today's Horse Fact is it is in fact not a palomino, but a dun, which looks similar to a buckskin but retains primitive markings of ancestral horses, with not just dark points but occasionally some leg and dorsal striping.
BONUS FACT: my original draft of Hunter's wanted poster referred to a scar "like a lineback dun", an old timey term for this dorsal stripe
But obviously I dropped this as the poster is shown in book 1 and the scar isn't revealed until quite some time after
