I really appreciated being given an insight into this everyday life experience of living in Japan. Even your info about recycling futons was super interesting. Japan’s system of dealing with rubbish and recycling is very different to most western countries. Would love to get more info about that. Getting over how almost everything seems to wrapped in plastic when you go to Japan was a real challenge the 1st time I went to Japan. And the fact Japan burns much of its waste. But, a bit of education & seeing the physical layout of the land (and all that pure water - even in the city canals) made 2nd trip easier in that sense. Love the smell of tatami. Thank you for letting us into your home.
