2023-10-12 05:03:03 +0000 UTCThe FIRST CABIN hotels might be an interesting option. Capsule hotels though aren’t a great experience for more than a night. Ryogoku, Oshiage, Kinshicho, even Kameido are cheaper and still quite close. Yokohama is an alternative, close commute. If you have a Rail pass you can commute from much further! It’s one way 😉

2023-10-11 11:30:15 +0000 UTCHi John,looking forward to the live. Im from bay area early 40s and booking my 1st trip to JP in few weeks,going solo. I've been trying on airbnb for spots near Ikebukuro, Asakusa and a lot of the spots seem to be getting swooped fast. I've tried keeping it within $50-80ish range. It looks like the only way I can accomplish this is if I get some of the openings over in Sumida and east of there a bit. There's a couple of places near Sky tree also. Would this area be ok as an alternative or maybe should I start looking at some APA Hotels back on the Ueno side? I just don't really wanna stay in a place like shibuya it seems a bit much but I wouldn't mind taking the train to there once just to see it .
