Address Updates / Housekeeping :) for End-of-year Postcards

This is a simple reminder to mostly Samurai patrons (and postcard / daimyo supporters too) about updating your address.
I will send out a holiday end-of-year postcard to all supporters who've been with our community here for 3+ months - or since September 2019 :) also read these notes and amend your address if you have time. There are many errors I can't manually correct myself.
(1) Please don't use ALL CAPS or all small letters. This takes up a lot of space on the label. Postal scanners like proper letter usage.
You don't need to add periods Apt.1 > Apt 1 | St. > St | Ave. > Ave
Commas aren't needed either unless specified by your post office. Santa Fe, NM > Santa Fe NM
(2) Abbreviatewhere ever possible https://pe.usps.com/text/pub28/28apc_002.htm this list will help
Beach > Bch | Avenue > Ave | Gardens > Gdns | Springs > Spgs
* Australians & Canadians can abbreviate the state or territory.
Queensland > QLD | Ontario > ON

(3) Please do no add extended zip codes (ZIP+4). It makes labels smaller and actually doesn't make faster deliveries. ZIP+4 was introduced in 1983 but technology no longer requires it since addresses are scanned and a new label with it is printed in the USA. Interesting, eh? ZIP+4 is redundant and takes up space on a small label making it harder for scanners and postal staff to read.
(4) In the UK, county names are not needed.
Name / Number and name of street / Post Town and Postcode / GB
* Note: GREAT BRITAIN GB is used instead of UK for mail to England, Scotland and Wales.
Patreon sorts your country code automatically I believe and postcards have had GB on them the last 2 years. Many post offices define UK as Ukraine and we don't want your postcard to end up in Kiev, although a wonderful city :)
(5) Singaporeans can use Blk for Block
I might reach out next month to ask for manual corrections with addresses.
End-of-year postcards will go out on December 2nd. Woo-hoo!!

Thanks everyone! I’ll ask Patreon to be able to edit them manually to fix errors as well. Should be a way to do that as admin. But all in all, we’ve got a great rate of making it the destination and we’re closer to 100%!

We know you will keep up the good work. Sorry that I missed the last Q&A! The chat comments are as fun as the livestream!
