Some setup moves can start to feel this way too. I think a lot of viewers would like to see mixed attackers get at least 1 run as a mixed attacker, for instance. Like a bulk up, brick break, flamethrower, hidden power electric/Earthquake set for Blaziken here, or a Lucario gen 4 run that takes advantage of Aura Sphere and maybe Flash Cannon. This way we can see the potential of a set more representative of what an average player will have could do. I understand it won't be truly optimal, but I know it's something I'd like to see. Also, early rare candies for Lucario to get aura sphere for handling fog, which few other Pokemon can realistically do since powerful moves that avoid accuracy checks are rare could be a big advantage that I think a more average playstyle strategy would go for. Just some ideas to give example to what I'm talking about here. Your content is always great Scott, I love it. Just wanted to share some things I'd personally like to see in the future, since you asked

I think people just don't like glitches like the gen 1 dig paralysis invulnerability glitch when they're used as a strategy and not a happy accident. Like a Pokemon relying on dig for damage getting it is a happy accident. A Pokemon that would optimally use a different move but only uses dig because of the glitch feels like cheating/purposefully manipulating the game. Hope this makes sense and can be taken for consideration. I don't think the rules necessarily need to change, but I think relying on such a glitch should come with some extra explanation when it's used and a showcase of what the alternative would be and how much you may need to level or get lucky to pull it off. Sometimes your narrative makes it sound like you didn't even experiment and just went straight for the glitchy-gimmick way through when you hadn't really tested out all non-glitchy options yet. Similar feelings come up with things like the curse, rest, return strat for Red and other such replicatable strategies. I for one, at least with first runs, would like to see Pokemon do whatever it takes to make a moveset or strategy more in line with an actual playthrough set with a Pokemon than the universal generic sets or glitch gimmicks.
