Off the top of my head — the Kanikaze Museum in Kagoshima where the pilots left in WWII left the biggest impact on me. yasukuni shrine is interesting. Hokkaido’s Abashiri Prison, of course :) the EDO MUSEUM is a place I haven’t been yet — but it’s incredible! The history of the city of Tokyo.
