A few notes about the demo

Hello, everyone!

The demo links will be sent out in a few hours. Before jumping in, here are some things.

NO DOWNLOAD LINK

If you're expecting a link to the demo but do not receive one, it means there was a problem verifying your Patreon email address (either a typo, or you used a different email address). Please send a DM on here on Patreon to resolve this.

CONTROLS

Currently, the tutorial popups are not descriptive enough and are easy to accidentally click past when using a controller, so I'm including more detail here.

• Opening the in-game menu: Right-special button on controller. "Tab" on keyboard.

• Movement: For mouse and keyboard users, it's normal WASD movement with the mouse controlling your direction.

• Sprint: To surge (swim faster) you have to hold down right-bumper on controller, or spacebar on keyboard.

• Unstuck: If you get stuck in some coral or manage to glitch outside of the playable space, you can use this feature to teleport back to the initial spawn location. For controllers: Left on the D-pad. Keyboard: "U".

PERFORMANCE

If your framerate is low, the most impactful Options menu-setting is called "3D Resolution". It's in the video-settings tab. Decreasing this setting will make the game look worse, but should boost your FPS quite a bit. You can drop the setting to around 60% before the visuals start to look really bad.

BUGS AND CRASHES

If you encounter any significant issues or crashes, please email loreseekergames@gmail.com and include DEMO ISSUE in the subject line. We're working on a bug-tracking portal, but it's not ready yet.

NOTES:

• This is an early alpha test, so you will encounter bugs and glitches. If your character stops controlling properly or the UI gets stuck, just restart the game.

• Please read the in-game "Note from the Devs"

• The character in the demo is our original place-holder character model. Our "character 2.0" isn't quite ready yet, but we'll be revealing it within the next few weeks. It's significantly more refined (and less cartoony) than what you'll see in this demo.

• Toward the end of the demo window, we'll release a small survey to get some feedback on your experience.
