First Look - Job Interview Gone Wrong

It is always so fun to start a new project, even when the first few scenes doesn't really include any growth content with the first few shots taking us into the office building early in the morning, with Daisy nervously walking in for an interview, not knowing that everything's about to go wrong!

Pushing a bit to improve on the facial expressions, adding a bit more flow to the walk sequences and practicing some faster paced scenes at the starting parts of the animation, bring Daisy right back into this film and I'm really excited to be working on this for the next few months!

You can watch this first update in 4K down below:

I've made quite a few changes since the announcement of the project as I was working on the starting sequence and the first bits of the script for this animation, adding a few more interactions between different characters as well as bringing the interview from a zoom interview to a live interview (which builds quite nicely into "why" she begins to grow), as well as changing the office from a small one to a much larger one, which should give her plenty of room to expand!

I'm most likely going to continue working on the next sequence and have it ready to release on Thursday, before I head back to continue the growth spurt for our futa goddess, during the weekend! I'm also finishing up the script editing for Shape UP Fitness and sending them to my VAs and hopefully getting you guys a voiced teaser later next week, or the week after!

I hope you all enjoy this little update, and thank you all for supporting me!

Its a very interesting topic, given that the AI motion capturing is less invasive as the AI generators, it still has a lot of its own issues. To me, I believe that hand animation takes longer, but gives more details in specific scenarios, especially in spaces where its hard to act out. And I think fixing the animation output from motion capture is about just as annoying? (Not confirmed on that) There might be a time when motion capture gets added into my work for some more generic motions but I feel like right at this moment, it's most hand for a considerable future XD

It will probably throw off your entire work routine for a while until you get it right, but have you thought about using AI motion capturing?

I'm still pushing on faster animation parts on characters, that's something I don't do too well and sometimes a scene would feel a bit too slow, it's quite hard to get the timings right but I'm getting there! This project has particularly more faster scenes than the ones before, a good practice!

Thanks man, one thing I do find interesting is how everyone's mirroring the second half of the walk cycle, I feel like it would make it quite repetitive in some way and normally chose to do the second half by hand (which is I think why the walk looks a bit more awkward, as the steps of left and right isn't the same), could be good for imperfection tho!

Your character animation is exceptional, I'd be willing to suggest that your technical skills are perfect; trust the instincts those skills created to see how your work is doing what you want it to. Especially with satisfactory projects, look at what you did right, then look at the things that help those bits, the stuff you didn't think about that ended up making your product even better. Everything in this file comes from you, analyze the parts that weren't intentional for new skills and new possibilities.

If I were asked to make a suggestion, put on a music playlist or podcast that you enjoy without focusing on it, then build the start pose of one step and the end pose of one step. I'm sure you know how to mirror-extend that window into a walk cycle, then just watch the footsteps themselves. Human minds recognize patterns, it'll rub you the wrong way if the walk feels too smooth or too choppy. In my experience, that's how you learn to do walk cycles with character in mind.

Mine are "perfect", in one manner of speaking, the particular way the models awkward step fits the character perfectly lol

Oh you will not be ready for what's to come! Hahah!

FaTerGD

Haha man thats my biggest nemesis right now, I wasn't even intending on making her walk nervously but it came out a bit awkward just perfect XD I think I need to do walking cycles like 100 times to get it properly!

FaTerGD

I like it I’m ready

The walking is a little awkward in exactly the right way, the character model walks like they're nervous but still in an organic way. Every time I try to do walk cycles it comes out robotic, nicely done!
