"Girls, this is looking amazing," Gaby said excitedly as she put the finishing touches on Brittany's wig. Using her hind feet to steady her friend's head, she put the final twists in the character's hair. “What do you think?” Brittany asked, looking over at her own body, which was already dressed as Seiko Ayase and sitting in a chair. “I'm not sure I'm completely comfortable showing so much skin.” “Don't worry about it,” said Caty, who was zipped into a full white jumpsuit for her Turbo Granny costume. “It's good to step out of your comfort zone every now and then. I think it was a great idea to do a group cosplay this time.” “I think it's great, too,” said Eri, adjusting the skirt of her Aira Shiratori costume. “And thank you so much, girls, for inviting me to be a part of it.” “Thank you for accepting!” Gaby said enthusiastically. “To be honest, I was afraid you wouldn't want to. I figured you probably had better parties to go to.” “Bigger parties? Maybe,” Eri said, glancing at herself in the full-length mirror in Brittany and Caty's bedroom. “But trust me, going to a party with friends in a group costume is definitely better.” “Okay, your head is ready,” Gaby announced. She carefully transferred Brittany's head to her waiting body, which took it and tucked it under its arm. “Thank you. But now you'd better hurry up and put on your socks and shoes.” Gaby, now in character as Momo Ayase, quickly moved over to where the buccaneer socks and loafers were. "I'm going to need help with this last sock. These shoes aren't going to give me much freedom to move." “It's not the first time a cosplay has been tricky to get into,” Caty said reassuringly. “But don't worry, that's what your friends are for.” “The Momo costume looks fantastic on you,” Britt said, admiring Gaby. “If you're lucky, maybe you'll find your ‘Ken Takakura’ at the party.” "No, thanks," Gaby said, looking annoyed. Soon, all four of her legs were dressed and ready to go. "Come on, we have to take a group photo before we leave for the party." The four friends went to the living room, where they had previously hung a banner with the "Dandadan" logo on the wall. They set a timer on one of their phones and arranged themselves for the picture. “Alright, girls, on the count of three… three, two, one… Dandadan!”
