CHAPTER 36: I am the half brother of Meredith Grey

"It's Carly!"
"It's Sam!"
"And you're watching, iCarly!"

Carly addressed the camera with a smile, "Have you seen the news recently?"
In a spontaneous move, Sam pulled a skeleton doll from her back pocket and playfully dangled it in front of the camera, mentioning, "About all the dead bodies found near the Seattle port."
Carly's expression turned horrified as she exclaimed, "Sam! I told you not to use that doll!"
"Hey, don't shout so loud! I'm standing right beside you!" Sam retorted, still holding the skeleton doll.
"Sam! Get that out of here!" Carly shouted back, feeling annoyed. She had reminded her best friend not to deviate from the script, but it seemed like Sam had other plans.
With an air of nonchalance, Sam replied, "Fine, fine, fine" as she casually tossed the skeleton doll. However, without realizing it, the doll slipped out of the window of their taping room, much to Carly's horror.
"Oops, didn't mean to do that," Sam commented, clearly amused by the situation. After a brief pause, she looked at the camera and announced, "We have a new segment in iCarly!"
"Yes, we do," Carly confirmed, trying to regain her composure.
"So, in the past few days, just like everyone in the country, we've been intrigued by the news," Sam explained.
"Can you believe it? Us, watching the news," Carly added with a grin.
"We even got into trouble for it," Sam chimed in.
"Not me! Cause I wasn't informed about what they were planning", Carly added with annoyed look on her face as she glanced at her best friend.
Suddenly, Lucas briefly appeared on camera and stated, "I was there. I tried to stop it from happening".
With perfect timing, Freddie preemptively took charge of the camera before the show's host could intervene. He positioned the lens to capture his own face and quickly explained, "Long story short, someone thought it was a brilliant idea to film the bodies found by the police, but she, along with us, immediately got caught in the act."
Without a second's notice, Freddie shifted the camera's focus to Sam and zoomed in on her face.
The audience could clearly see Sam's intense glare at Freddie's statement.
"Okay, let's cool things down," Carly said, quickly grabbing the sound effects device Sam used for the show. With a confident tone, Carly announced, "Introducing the new segment of the show: iCarly Unsolved!" She quickly pressed a specific button on the device causing an eerie sound effect to fill the entire set.

Freeddie didn't remain idle but immediately backed up and proceeded to press something on his laptop, causing the audience's view to go to that of a black screen with a large text that says: "iCarly Unsolved: The Case of the Bay Harbor Butcher".
Sam: "That's right folks. We're giving a name to the killer of Seattle".
Carly: "Such a brutal crime, deserves such a brutal name".
TOGETHER: "The Bay Harbor Butcher!"
Sam: "Lucas actually was the one who thought of the name"
Carly: "Cool, huh?"

LUCAS POV:
As I continued watching the whole situation unfold before me, I couldn't help but chuckle. Bringing something like 'Buzzfeed Unsolved' into our world wasn't something I had considered until the recent incident we had. However, it made sense to incorporate it into iCarly, giving birth to iCarly: Unsolved.
After the events at the police station, several individuals were furious with me. Meredith, in particular, didn't hold back and immediately arranged therapy for me, a decision I couldn't protest against. The only silver lining was that the sessions were scheduled for two weeks later.
Not only that, but I also found myself grounded. The only reason I was allowed to visit Carly's house on the weekend was because of the lawyer I had to meet at the Shay's residence, who was currently talking to Meredith downstairs.
Then there was Izzie, who swiftly banned me from eating her muffins for a month as punishment for sneaking out of the house while she was in charge of supervising me. Her joy was evident, as she teased me by baking a fresh batch of muffins whenever I cooked breakfast. She'd even playfully swat me with whatever utensil she had on hand if I dared to go near them.
Next in line was Lexie, who delivered a scolding the very next day, with Derek looking disappointed and disapproving behind her.
Amidst all this, Alex seemed to find amusement. I could still remember him smirking as both Lexie and Derek were reprimanding me.
Apart from the people in my life who expressed their disapproval of my sneaking out, school days continued as usual.
Surprisingly, Sam seemed to have forgotten the trouble she caused, and Freddie astonished us all by standing up to his angry mother, boldly declaring that she couldn't stop him from hanging out with his friends, including me. Despite me being the bad influence that urged him to sneak out.
In the show, Freddie's defiance against his mother's overbearing behavior happened later in the series, but the recent adrenaline rush seemed to have spurred him into action. I even witnessed him resisting Sam's usual pranks.
Previously, Freddie would often seek refuge behind Carly and ask her to defend him, but now he was no longer as easily intimidated by Sam's glares.
The only person saddened by my grounding was Gibby. Due to this punishment, his drum lessons had to be postponed until I was allowed to return to his house.
Sam: "Now, after that recap. Let's speculate on a possible way to locate the identity of the Bay Harbor Butcher".
Carly: "Or at least narrow it down. To help us in that regard we have our biology teacher, Mr. Henning."
Mr. Henning: "Hi, everyone! I'm Carly and Sam's biology teacher".
Even though I was grounded, it did give me the opportunity to think about ways to try and capture Dexter. I honestly thought, and am still considering, becoming an 'anonymous informant' now and in the future by calling the police department and providing them with a certain tip that might lead to Dexter's capture. However, a sudden urge to have a little fun kept occurring in my mind, which I ultimately gave in to in the end.
It was during a class with Ridgeway's biology teacher where he casually mentioned how he would try to discover the identity of the man who was causing all the killings in Seattle, or now would be formally known as the Bay Harbor Butcher thanks to iCarly making the name popular.
It turns out due to him being a biology teacher as well as him loving nature, plus his minimalist, zero waste, holistic, low impact, and honestly yippie lifestyle, he actually had the same idea as what was mentioned in the Dexter series. He theorized that the killer was most likely using stones to keep the bodies from reaching the surface, similar to the show. He also theorized that those stones would most likely be located in the same place that killer docks his boat, cause in his mind the killer would most likely own a boat due to the large number of people he has killed.
He then briefly joked about renting being too expensive for such a hobby. But the next thing he discussed was about algae and the potential to use it to narrow down the search. Which he was also currently explaining now to the audience of iCarly.
I could just imagine Dexter's face if he sees this video. The surprised look on his face would no doubt be hilarious. I was only saddened that I couldn't see it for myself.
