Wearing blades as well as jewels - Talking in Public, the NVDH Patreon podcast
Added 2024-01-23 00:38:55 +0000 UTCSo Patreon apparently has a podcasting feature! Of course I wanted to try it out. So here's something that's half me reading out the latest (aka first) issue of my newsletter, Thinking in Public, and then half talking about a few things I didn't get to mention there.
Since this is new, I'm not entirely sure how this works. I think you should have gotten a link to an audio RSS feed. This link is specially generated for patrons. You can copy it into your podcasting app of choice (mine is Snipd and it seems to work fine there) to import the private feed.
If that doesn't work, you should be able to go to Membership and then scroll down to get the same link there. Of course, if you don't listen to podcasts, you can also just listen to the audio on Patreon too.
I'd love to hear what you think about this new feature! Is this something you'd use? (Totally okay to say no.) Anything that would make it more useful? In any case, I thought it was worth a little experiment.

Definitely love this feature, Nicole. I echo what Nelka wrote. I'm more apt to listen than read unless it's a tutorial (when video and text is great!).

2024-03-30 23:08:07 +0000 UTCI would enjoy - and did enjoy - listening to you. and yeah, I'd use it. I think this is a good format for telling stories, with maybe one or two points. not more (for that I prefer visual assistance - video/text). and I enjoy listening to you and learning from you. :)
