Top 10 tips for reading on a Kindle

Hey folks! I love to close out the year with some type of readathon, and this year I'm doing the Reindeer Readathon for some holiday-themed prompts to help me catch up on fiction books. This time of year is the perfect time to cuddl e up with a hot cup of your favourite beverage and a book.

I'm a huge fan of ereaders in general, but Kindles have a special place in my heart-- I've had almost every generation and still use four different ones regularly. This video has some tips for reading on a Kindle, and, of course, sending them all to Obsidian.

Zsolt's Visual Thinking Workshop

Another reason I've been reading is that I signed up for the Visual Thinking Workshop run by Zsolt Viczián, the developer behind the Obsidian Excalidraw and ExcaliBrain plugins. Enrolment is closed, but when it opens again, I recommend it! My group chose the book Emergence by Steven Johnson, which I breezed through (on my Kindle Scribe) and am processing now. The goal is to have all my visual notes about it on a single page, which Zsolt calls a "Book on a Page".

I've already learned a lot about how Zsolt does things, which I'm eager to share with you all very soon!

Holidays

If you've noticed I'm a little slower to respond to messages on email, YouTube comments, and social media, I'm sorry about that! I have my nephew visiting me and have been busy showing him around Europe, and I'm taking the opportunity to disconnect a little bit. I've planned the next few videos, but please be patient with me as I get some long-awaited quality time and enjoy the holiday season with family. Have a great week, everyone! :)
