Video preview: How to take notes from a book with Obsidian - The Culture Map
Added 2022-09-02 09:35:51 +0000 UTCLast week was a blur! I spent the full week with my work colleagues in Sweden, getting to know each other in person after years of working together online. It was fantastic but exhausting, and I'm still struggling to get things back on track now that I'm in my home in the Netherlands.
So this video's a little late this week, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. It's a workflow walkthrough of how I process nonfiction book notes. Just like I always do when I learn something, I also created some new work along the way, remixing the book's ideas:
- my notes
- this video!
- an atomic essay, which I posted to Twitter
- a short video presentation, which I've also embedded into my notes.
- a small drawing in Excalidraw
Learning in public in this way is the only sustainable way I've found of both learning and making content.
